Thank you, 2025! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

A huge thank you to everyone who made this year at LYNfabrikken special.

To our daily regulars and coffeeshop guests - and to all of you who booked our meeting rooms for workshops, meetings, teaching sessions, receptions and everything in between. Thank you for filling the house with good vibes every day.

A big thank you to our amazing staff. You make everything run smoothly with good energy!

To our workspace, the best colleagues you could wish for. World class at throwing parties, going on ski trips together and always supporting and helping one another in everyday life.

We also want to thank the artists in BOX, who again and again create beautiful digital exhibitions for our street gallery on Vestergade.

A special thank you to Kasper, Ole and Grete Villumsen, truly the world’s best playmates, who care for the old factory building and backyard at Vestergade 49.

2025 was also the year our espresso Stelvio from Kuntrawant, Italy, won 3 Grinders at Gambero Rosso, officially making it Italy’s best espresso!! Thank you Martina & Joseph for becoming friends of the house. The most enthusiastic and goodhearted people 🙌🏻.

Looking ahead to 2026 with rooftop events, ski trips and even more sunshine on our terrace.

We have lost a voice that will forever leave its mark on literature, film, and poetry.
In 2018, we had the great pleasure of welcoming Jørgen Leth to LYNfabrikken – a magical day created in collaboration with Litteratur På Scenen. Together with Niels Malmros and Lars Bukdahl, we celebrated his films, his writing, and his unique way of telling stories.

It was an unforgettable experience, a sold-out house, and a day that still shines brightly in our memory.

Thank you, Jørgen Leth, for everything you gave us through your words, your images, and your gaze on the human condition.
Rest in peace.

Again this year, LYNfabrikken is a part of Aarhus Festival ( ) mentioned in two categories:

🌆 “Aarhus Seen from Above”
Visit our rooftop and take in stunning views of Aarhus’ rooftops, ARoS, and the city’s iconic mural art. Open daily from 08:00–22:00 – the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, lunch, or an evening drink with a view.

💡 “Festival of Light”
Our digital gallery BOX is open around the clock, presenting Abyssal Fragments by the artist duo from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The exhibition runs 24/7, transforming BOX into a window to another world.

Did you know we import our own extra virgin olive oil? The olive oil comes directly from Tenuta di Fra, a small family-run estate in the Marche region of Italy. See the place here: (this is by the way also where some of our wines come from).

We know the family personally—they also supply our Stelvio coffee. It’s an honest product, made with care and tradition, and it’s exactly the kind of ingredient we want in our kitchen.

You’ll find this oil in our café at LYNfabrikken, served with sourdough focaccia, creamy burrata, and other seasonal plates. Or buy the great looking bottle home with you.

A few years ago, we stumbled upon an old marzipan factory tucked away in Hamburg’s Bahrenfeld district. The building with the weathered bricks, tall windows, and an industrial charm that hinted at its long history. Out of curiosity, we stepped inside and quickly realized we had found something special.

The place had been brought back to life as Drilling—a unique combination of café, cocktail bar, and working distillery. We were given a spontaneous tour, walking past gleaming copper stills and stacks of aging barrels, while hearing the story of how a group of passionate spirits makers had transformed this forgotten space into Hamburg’s only certified distillery of its kind.

One taste of their Clockers Gin was enough to convince us. Crisp, balanced, and full of character—it wasn’t just the gin that impressed us, but the story and the people behind it. Since then, we’ve been proud to bring a piece of that spirit to Aarhus.

You’ll find Clockers Gin behind our bar—whether you want to take a bottle home or enjoy it in a G&T up on our rooftop terrace. If in Hamburg, make sure to visit and team Glockers!

It all started back in the early 2000s, when we discovered hidden gems in Vienna’s vibrant club scene, collecting albums that became the foundation of our playlist.
