Dear friends, club family, ravers, DJs, artists, and everyone who has supportet EQual Club.
Sometimes life takes a hard left turn.
And that is exactly where we find ourselves now.
It is with a mix of gratitude, melancholy, and appreciation that we share this important message with you:
January 1st 2026, EQual Club is closing.
This means that December will be our final month in the basement at Vestergade 58.
What the stars have planned for us after that, only time will tell. Some stories take a pause — not an ending. Perhaps an EQual Club 2.0 is waiting out there somewhere.
It feels strange to write these words for us, because this place became so much more than a club. It became a home. A sanctuary. A space where people meet across everything that usually divides us.
A place where evenings turned into nights, nights into memories — and memories into small pieces of who we are.
We created this place together.
Each and every one of you brought something into the room: your joy, your energy, your stories, and your courage to show yourselves.
It has been unique and precious to witness. Thank you!
From nothing — to an international community
EQual Club started from absolute zero.
Only private funds, an enormous heart, two curly minds full of curiosity to see potential, and a dream of creating a space where everyone would feel welcome — regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexuality, or age.
Today, we are a small, intimate nightclub of international caliber — with a big heart, true rave spirit, and a community that has grown strong and beautiful.
We gave space to the electronic underground that lacked a home, and it has been a huge privilege to create that space for you.
We have seen artists grow, new collaborations bloom, and the music live freely.
Everyone who has ever played here will forever be part of the EQual Club family.
Everything we carry with us looking back, this journey has been exciting, rewarding, fun, hard, challenging, moving, educational, full of surprices and love.
We have learned just as much from our mistakes as from our successes — and we would be nothing without your support.
This is not a goodbye.
It is a thank you, from the bottom of our heart.
Thank you for every single beat.
Thank you for every single night.
Thank you for showing up, for creating the vibe, for your smile, your openness, your contribution, your care for each other.
Thank you for every conversation that created a new relation, and every dance that shaped the room.
Thank you for showing us that community is not just a word — it is something we create together, one night at a time.
The lights may go out in the basement, but never in the community!
