ARCUS Our mission is to build the perfect bow that guarantees optimal performance for every musician.

Fine carbon fiber bows of the highest quality: Based in the heart of Germany, ARCUS has been developing and producing exceptional bows with a wide range of sound colors and playing characteristics since 1999, for violin, viola, cello and double bass. Arcus bows combine beautiful sound with best playability and high quality workmanship.

This fantastic workshop is located in the German city of Dortmund and is a highly recommended destination for everything related to stringed instruments, ranging from student instruments to instruments for professionals. And here’s an extra bonus: They carry both Arcus and Müsing bows and provide expert advice on them.❤️

The Violin T-models are our most universal bows, as they cover a huge spectrum of sound colors and playing styles. They offer great warmth and brilliance at the same time, which makes them suitable for a majority of instruments. And while they significantly improve the sound of many difficult instruments, their ideal range of overtones allows to determine the perfect setup and best strings for every instrument easier than with any other bow. Their weight is around 51 grams, and their sticks have a round shape. Their balance is normal, but their mass is distributed towards both ends, giving them much more stability than you would expect in such a lightweight bow.
