Die Offene Bühne im exploratorium berlin ist ein Angebot an Improvisationserfahrene in Musik und anderen Künsten, sich einmal monatlich in Adhoc-Besetzungen künstlerisch auszutauschen. Dabei geht es um Freie Improvisation. Vorgaben für das künstlerische Material gibt es nicht, die Performance entsteht allein aus dem gegenseitigen Sich-Wahrnehmen und Aufeinander-Reagieren.
Zur Teilnahme eingeladen sind alle, die bereits Erfahrungen mit Freier Improvisation gesammelt haben.

The open stage is an offer for experienced improvisers in music, dance and other arts. It provides the opportunity of monthly artistic explorations in varying adhoc ensembles. There are no restraints for playing, the performances emerge solely from mutual perception and (re)acting.
Everyone who has previous experience with free improvisation is welcome.

The Imaginary Museum is a series dedicated to improvisation across practices – primarily in music and dance yet open to all fields. Performances feature invited guests and The Performance Group, an evolving ensemble who meet at the exploratorium that same afternoon.

🔥 In March, we were blown away by the virtuosity, the delight in experimentation and the immersive quality of URUPLANKTARA — a two-day concert installation and performance with changing collab partners on 18 and 19 March in our space, exploring non/human sounds and hybrid modes of existence that challenge anthropocentric perspectives.

👋 Watch our for »Diving into our depths in search of truth | Workshop with Isabelle Duthoit« on 8–10 May- - - studying experimental vocal improvisation together with the wonderful vocalist and clarinetist Isabelle Duthoit! Read her words for it:
✍️ “My singing seeks a language before language, a voice from the beginning, a song of the body that has its roots in both breath and cry. I question what states, what emotions the body and voice go through when they travel between breath and cry. These universal sounds belong to and envelop all cultures, languages and songs. This experience of sonic archaism is certainly one of liberation, of rediscovering one’s original voice, of daring to be whole, without artifice, outside the overly restrictive zones of control. It is playing with all possible vocal sounds in these fields of possibility. It is this adventure that I explore each time my voice and body unfold in space, in time, in listening. This is what I invite you to share.”

1/ Im Soloprogramm »sogno/suono« von RONJA SOPHIE PUTZ wird die Violine zur Verlängerung des Körpers, ihr Klang zur Verlängerung der Stimme. Akustische Illusionen, dezente Electronics und eine mit Schrauben & Vibratoren präparierte Violine verändern Wahrnehmung wie Stimmung. Kompositionen von Jacopo Salvatori, Tom Smith und Graciela Paraskevaidis wechseln sich ab mit Eigenkompositionen und experimentellen Improvisationen.
2/ Spielzeuge, Stofftiere und Alltagsobjekte stehen im Mittelpunkt der von äußerster Spielfreude geprägten Klang-Performances und -Installationen von FABIAN JUNG, der als Musiker, Performer, Bühnen- und Kostümbildner interdisziplinär arbeitet.
