Party.San Metal Open Air is Germany´s biggest extreme metal festival which is mainly supporting death/black/thrash/doom and grindcore music. The festival was founded back in 1996 and has been grown over the years to one of the most important festivals working with extreme metal music. True to the bone and furthermore independent, it´s organisers put a lot of emphasis on supporting true music. The

festival was earlier situated in Bad Berka(east germany) and moved in 2011 to Schlotheim (close to Mühlhausen). Since 1996 bands such as Entombed, Dismember, Watain, Dark Funeral, Marduk, Satyricon, Unleashed, Autopsy, Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel, At The Gates, The Haunted, Kreator, Hypocrisy, Ensalved, Gorgoroth, Sadus, Incantation, Merciless, Deströyer 666, Grave, Primordial, Six Feet Under, Benediction, Venom, Heaven Shall Burn, Carcass.
