Party.San Metal Open Air is Germany´s biggest extreme metal festival which is mainly supporting death/black/thrash/doom and grindcore music. The festival was founded back in 1996 and has been grown over the years to one of the most important festivals working with extreme metal music. True to the bone and furthermore independent, it´s organisers put a lot of emphasis on supporting true music. The festival was earlier situated in Bad Berka(east germany) and moved in 2011 to Schlotheim (close to Mühlhausen). Since 1996 bands such as Entombed, Dismember, Watain, Dark Funeral, Marduk, Satyricon, Unleashed, Autopsy, Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel, At The Gates, The Haunted, Kreator, Hypocrisy, Ensalved, Gorgoroth, Sadus, Incantation, Merciless, Deströyer 666, Grave, Primordial, Six Feet Under, Benediction, Venom, Heaven Shall Burn, Carcass. Party.Sanen! Aus den steirischen Alpen direkt nach Schlotheim: Grimming feiern 2027 ihre Premiere beim Party.San Metal Open Air! Die noch junge österreichische Band verbindet Death Metal mit ihrer steirischen Heimat, regionalen Sagen und Texten in Mundart - und hat damit innerhalb kürzester Zeit ordentlich auf sich aufmerksam gemacht. Erst Ende 2024 gegründet, folgte auf die Debütsingle „Lindwurm“ bereits 2025 ein Plattenvertrag bei Na**lm Records. Wir sind gespannt, was die Jungs aus der Steiermark auf unserer Bühne anrichten werden!

Party.Sans! From the Styrian Alps straight to Schlotheim: Grimming will make their Party.San Metal Open Air debut in 2027! The young Austrian band combine death metal with their Styrian roots, regional legends and lyrics in their local dialect - and have made quite an impression in a very short time. Formed only at the end of 2024, their debut single “Lindwurm” was already followed by a record deal with Na**lm Records in 2025. We’re looking forward to seeing what these guys from Styria will bring to our stage!

Party.Sanen! Zum ersten Mal überhaupt in Europa – und exklusiv beim Party.San Metal Open Air: Oxygen Destroyer kommen 2027 aus Seattle zu uns nach Schlotheim! Seit 2014 verbindet die Band rasenden Death/Thrash Metal mit ihrer großen Leidenschaft für Kaiju und japanische Monsterfilme und macht daraus den passenden Soundtrack für gigantische Kreaturen, zerstörte Städte und das Ende der Menschheit. Auch ihr aktuelles Album „Guardian of the Universe“ führt dieses Konzept konsequent weiter und widmet sich der legendären Gamera-Trilogie. Wir freuen uns, Oxygen Destroyer für ihre erste Reise nach Europa bei uns begrüßen zu dürfen!

Wichtig: Natürlich könnt ihr auch weiterhin ohne dieses zusätzliche Ticket mit Wohnmobil oder Caravan anreisen - die Tickets werden ausschließlich für die speziell ausgestatteten Stellflächen benötigt. Das Debütalbum legte damals den Grundstein für den Weg der Band und bekommt bei uns nun die gebührende Geburtstagsbehandlung. Willkommen zurück, Jungs - fühlt euch wie zu Hause!

Party.Sanen! Wenn Taake 2027 auf die Party.San-Bühne zurückkehren, werden ganze elf Jahre seit ihrem letzten Auftritt bei uns vergangen sein - höchste Zeit also für ein Wiedersehen. Bereits 2011 und 2016 brachte Hoest mit seinen Mitstreitern norwegischen Black Metal nach Schlotheim, nun folgt der dritte Auftritt bei uns. Musikalisch treffen dabei auch nach mehr als drei Jahrzehnten raue Härte, markante Melodien und die unverkennbare Handschrift Hoests aufeinander. Wer Taake beim letzten Mal erlebt hat, musste lange genug auf die nächste Runde warten!

Party.Sanen! Mit Mgła kehrt polnischer Black Metal nach Schlotheim zurück. Seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2000 hat die Band einen sehr eigenen Sound entwickelt, geprägt von hypnotischen Melodien und einer durchgehend düsteren Atmosphäre. Alben wie „Exercises in Futility“ und „Age of Excuse“ stehen exemplarisch für diesen Stil, der auch live durch seine intensive und authentische Umsetzung seine volle Wirkung entfaltet. Beim Party.San Metal Open Air 2027 werden Mgła diesen Sound erneut auf unsere Bühne bringen.

Blood Fire Death - A Tribute to Quorthon and the Music of Bathory vereint etablierte Musiker aus der norwegischen und schwedischen Black-Metal-Szene, um dem musikalischen Vermächtnis von Quorthon und Bathory Tribut zu zollen. Seit 2004 bringen sie die Songs einer Band auf die Bühne, die Black Metal und Viking Metal nachhaltig geprägt und Generationen von Musikern beeinflusst hat. Beim Party.San Metal Open Air 2027 erwartet euch eine besondere Hommage an einen der wichtigsten Wegbereiter des Extreme Metal. Bathory selbst werden wir niemals live erleben können - ihre Musik aber sehr wohl!

We may never get the chance to experience Bathory live - but their music lives on!
