💥 Saturday night will be a special night: we are having a big bad B-Day-Bash coming up!

➡️ From 7-10 pm the party will be "invite only": family and friends are celebrating Katys birthday and the vibe is starting. 🎂🎈

➡️ Doors will be open to public from 10 pm then - with the party already running - and the lineup is a true "veteran ting": the big bad Mangotree Sound alongside the heavyweight Mortal Kombat Sound from outta Regensburg/Munich and the notorious original Sheng Peng Sound!

➡️ Expect whole heap of classics and oldschool selections out of Reggae, Lovers Rock, Dancehall, Soca from the 2000s and whatever more is gonna happen later at night - big people party! A night to remember - cyaan miss! 💥

🦩 Halfway through the year, and it’s been hot outside, hawt in our bar…and we’re gonna turn it up in July. (And for those that asked…a lot of soul/funk/hip hop as well as being the #1 destination for regular afro) 🙌

💥Kicking off with the Original Son behind the decks for the first time since reopening…then a couple of others firsts:

💥 Hurricane Sound from Bayreuth for the 1st time 🇯🇲

💥 Peter S & Chillmatic for the first time this year 🎶

💥 And a highlight…our first ever Funk & Paint (Sip & Paint with a funky twist). ‘Sip & Paint’ is becoming a thing, but of course we will have our original version!

Then of course we will have our usual high quality roster of some of the best DJs in town…from the Original Sheng Peng to the return of Miss Curly. 🔥🔥 🇯🇲

When the weather is nice, we’ll have the DJ by the doors…rum punch or Jamaica Mules on ice, and just the vibe you expect you’d expect from a Caribbean island. ❤️❤️❤️

💥 The first week of the month, and we’ve got a likkle something extra!

🔥 Kicking off with the infamous DJ Ceezn to party into the bank holiday. Rest a bit then the weekend with a late change to the schedule with DJ Baz, jumping in to warm ahead of his big set later in the month. Finishing the weekend the legendary Sheng Peng Sound. 👆

🦩 Hello Original People! Summer officially starts this month, and we got some ‘heat’ planned, with some early starts and new faces behind the decks.. 🙌

💥 We kick off the month with the ever popular DJ Ceezn doing a midweek t’ing on the 3rd, and you can res’ up the next day, ahead of a hot weekend. Then the weekend will have the 2nd guest appearance of DJ Turnup after his first set lit 🔥 the place.

💥 On the 11th we have special guest appearance of DJ Babzilla on tour from France, so if the weather is nice this one is gonna start early. 🌴☀️

💥 Amongst other highlights are Miss Curly together with her brother doing team up on 13th 🔥

💥 Bar favourites Mangotree will be back, and Nurnberg favourite Baz will bring another guest DJ to start early and party late! 🇯🇲

💥 We could mention every session cos we love everyone behind the decks sharing their love!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

🦩 Bottom line is…June is gonna be baaaaad!!! 🔥🔥 🇯🇲

🦩 This weekend the street has a w**e festival, and whilst the bar specialises in rum, we also know how to ‘whine’!

☀️ With the weather promising to be nice, we’re gonna open early with two great events:

➡️ Friday from 6pm we have Herr Nolte and Studio Wolnys, dropping soul, funk and latin for the connoisseurs.

➡️ Saturday we have the return of the World of Dance after party! Last year it was a roadblock so come early. 🇯🇲

🍹 We will also have a w**e/rum based cocktail on the menu for this special weekend…and welcome you to the ‘island’ that is The Original Bar. 🏝

💥 So come early and chill in the sun, then party hard in the night with us! 💥

Last weekend was lit, and we appreciate you travelling through the city to visit our 'island'! 🔥 We are now looking forward to doing it again this coming weekend: Big bad BAZ on Friday and the one and only DJ T-LOW on Saturday - the different genres are exactly what we are about!!! This will be another original weekend and one not to be missed!!! Come check us out! 🦩🌴🍸💥

So we’ve been back open a whole month now, and we’ve felt the love…thank you!!!

*May* kicks off in *‘Party into May’* style and a big weekend, then continues with nuff niceness, new faces, the return of some missed friends…and a couple of events that lit up the bar like crazy last year.🎶🌟

This month also has a few bank holidays giving even more time to party and recover, so watch this space for additional events in the pipeline.🕺🏾

And of course, being one of the few bars with an outdoors space, we plan to start making the most of the weather.
