Too much of a good thing ain’t a thing - that’s why The Hip Drop is back again! This time with DJ Lunatic as a special guest. Lunatic has actually played every location in Hanover and brings the most danceable things in an exquisite selection from the big one shelf with. Funk, Soul, Hip Hop and related stuff. There is support from GeeFunk, with an open Mic again from 9:00 p.m. till late. Admission free!

Boom! After the massive 1st hip drop in April we start the 2nd round. As always, you can expect an electric mix of funk, soul, rap, 90s R&B and 80s classics - all on vinyl and the spectrum of black music. But this time we’re going one better: from 8:00 p.m. we’re arranging an open session for all musicians, singers, MCs who would like to express themselves musically. After that and in between people dance to the turntable. We see what the vibe is like, everything organic, everything in flux. We also have a fine DJ as guest again: Benoît Dioptas from Hamburg provides the hottest sound in town! Be there, tell a friend to bring a friend. It’s gonna be funky!

This Friday for you: Peter Piper and Stereopaul, these are the DJs behind Hanover’s legendary Soul Fever, for many years an integral part of the party series Calamari Moon Suite in the Cumberlandsche Galerie in Hanover, before that in the Béi Chéz Heinz and the Lux-Club. Soul Fever evenings are legendary - no wonder, because Peter Piper and Stereopaul are specialists for handmade soul music of the 60s, preferably far away from the mainstream. The whole thing is enriched with tropical cumbias and fiery mambos, hot funk and insane boogaloo, of course only in proper style from original vinyl records and always guaranteed to be danceable!

from the spectrums of House and Techno.

For this 3rd evening we start with no other than THOR (Thule Records, Sush*tech Berlin, Rekids), who is one of the leading figures in the Icelandic techno scene and
beyond. He has had numerous successful releases, remixes and collaborations
with artists such as Goldie, Pascal F.E.O.S., Tim Taylor, Exos or with superstar
Björk.

The line-up will be rounded up by the vinyl j***y Julius Mott you might have heard of from the legendary “Signals” and “TIP “parties
