Am 01.07.2004 spielten die Killers zum erstenmal in Hamburg im Molotow. Es waren ca. 40 Leute anwesend.
Mr. Brightside wurde zu dieser Zeit nicht so abgefeiert. Niemand ahnte, dass dieser Song einer der größten
Indie-Hymnen aller Zeiten werden würde. Das Molotow hat sicher einen nicht unerheblichen Anteil daran, da hier das Hitpotential des Songs sofort erkannt und dieser oft gespielt wurde. Deswegen kann das Molotow diesem Song auch eine Party widmen und die goldenen 2000er feiern. Ein Jahrzehnt, das geprägt war durch unzählige Indie- und Pop-Perlen, dem
Pop Punk neuen Aufschwung gab und die Emo-Szene hervorbrachte.
Wir feieren die unglaubliche Bands dieser Ära, wie Bloc Party, Paramore oder auch Avril Lavigne.

Weiter geht die wilde Zeitreise durch die Geschichte der Independent Musik von damals bis heute! Die Musik also, als man auf der Bühne noch keine Skibrillen trug. Nicht sang, dass man Barfuß am Klavier saß, und sich nicht die Stimme durch Autotune geradebog. Partys fanden in Clubs statt und waren keine Ballermann-Events in großen Hallen. This Charming Man serviert euch dieses Gefühl und den damaligen Sound mit einer zeitlosen Rezeptur aus etwas Punk & Post-Punk, verfeinert mit einigen Priesen Pop & Wave, Indie Pop und eventuell etwas Grunge. Abgerundet wird das Ganze dann mit dem Britpop der Neunzigerjahre und dem Indie-Revival der Zweitausender. Richtig, ein Genre übergreifendes Rezept. Natürlich mit der geschmacklichen Garantie zum Tanzen und Mitsingen. Angerührt und aufgelegt vom Karrera Klub dem Gründer der Mutter aller Indie Partys aus Berlin!

What a kick off this Band was! Bloodstrings were the first band to kick ass this year at the Weltturbojugendtage at the Molotow!
Great band, great human beings! What a great time! We didn’t expect the venue to fill up so early! That was really cool!
