Looking forward to Saturday´s concert starting 7 pm, the "high tide" of the four week program "Once in a blue moon" celebrating 60 years of Kunsthaus Hamburg:

The electro-acoustic textures and modulating polyrhythms of Passepartout Duo will meet with the hypnotic experimental sound played by Laure Boer on electroacoustic and DIY-electronic objects.
The concerts will be accompanied by All-POSSY DJ sets by Urania and Taxi M. b2b Agrodolce. At full moon, Der feine Schliv [] will deliver her slutty conscious collection of rhymes together with Slezga [ .zin], a two-boy instrumental band, which explores the collisions of different music genres and styles, particularly Balkan music and jazz.

DUO: CAM DEAS + JULIAN SARTORIUS

Cam Deas is a musician and sound artist based in London. His practice concerns abstract sound, polytempos, irregular tuning systems, improvisation and stochastic and computer generative systems to create immersive environments of sound and music. He has presented his work internationally, performing at venues such as Cafe Oto (London), Tank & K11 (Shanghai), Jazzhouse (Copenhagen), ICA (London) and Cave12 (Geneva).
His work is not subject to straightforward categorisation, with output ranging from solo acoustic guitar exploration through live electro-acoustic performance, to pure synthesis and computer generative music.

Drummer, percussionist and artist Julian Sartorius forms sounds into previously unseen shapes. His precise and multi-layered rhythmical patterns are keen excursions into the hidden tones of found objects and prepared instruments, bridging the gap between organic timbres and the vocabulary of (experimental) electronic music. Julian Sartorius has released numerous solo albums, creates audiovisual art works, collaborates with musicians, writers and artist and performs live in intimate venues and on festival stages.

Both live in a very special Duo on #21 on October 29th: https://www.facebook.com/events/1144141479854349

Working in close association with composers Karlheinz Stockhausen, Iannis Xenakis, Morton Feldman and John Cage, Schulkowsky performed their works in festivals around the globe. Her ongoing quest for shared perspectives, expanded artistic forms and alternative venues has paired her with visual artists including Gunther Uecker and Manon de Boer, and choreographers Merce Cunningham and Sasha Waltz.

TRIO: HANNE DE BACKER + ROMAN HIELE + BEN BERTRAND

Hanne De Backer is an Antwerp based saxophone player and performer. She is an energetic and versatile improvisor who has been collaborating with musicians like Farida Amadou, Paul Lovens, P**l Nilssen-Love, Jakob Bro, Agnes Hvizdalek and others. Her sound palette is exceptionally broad – from silent to crackling, from fierce drones to whispers between saxophone valves, bold screaming, lyrical phrases and everything in between – but always crushingly intimate, as if you were right in the middle of it all.

Roman Hiele is a composer and performer of electronic music. Hiele has released music on Belgian labels such as Stroom, Ultra Eczema, Ekster, and his own imprint Universal Exports. Hiele performs his music globally and has completed several artist residencies. He has collaborated with numerous other musicians, as well as undertaking music and sound design work for film, theatre and art projects, more recently with the artist Laure Prouvost.

Ben Bertrand weaves transverse waves into otherworldly compositions. He embodies the singular motion of these melodic and harmonic forms in order to draft new sonic possibilities freed from the laws of the physical plane. Pulsating at the kernel of Ben Bertrand’s musical universe are vivid dreams generating the fabric of these tapestries.
Ben Bertrand welcomes each listener to discover his music anew from their own perspectives. It is infinitely in time with your time.

All in very special Trio on 4fakultät #21 on October 29th: https://www.facebook.com/events/1144141479854349
