What a way to close the season—

Last Friday, we celebrated the triumphant premiere of Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, delighting the audience with an evening of acrobatic slapstick, razor-sharp wit, and delightfully absurd Dracula fun.
The occasion was made even more special as we marked the ETF’s Artistic Director Daniel Nicolai on his 25th anniversary with the theatre and raised a glass to George North, who made his professional stage debut in the title role.

Filled with laughter, heartfelt tributes, and standing ovations, it was an exhilarating night that perfectly captured the spirit of our theatre and sent us into the summer on a wonderfully comedic high note.

If opening night was any indication, audiences are in for a hilariously chaotic ride — so don’t miss your chance to join the fun. And don’t make the count wait— he might bite.

“Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors” is playing now through the 5th of July!

Fresh from Frankfurt’s English Theatre: "Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors" is set to premiere on Friday, June 12—and it promises a wildly funny, fast-paced twist on Bram Stoker’s classic. Expect musical flair, sharp comedy, and a production that turns gothic horror into something closer to “elegant chaos with fangs.”

A recent article by the Frankfurter Rundschau also takes a closer look behind the scenes: British Musical Director Mal Hall has become a familiar face at the English Theatre Frankfurt, now working on his ninth production there alongside director Ewan Jones. Over time, he’s not only become part of the theatre’s creative core, but has also fully embraced Frankfurt life—from green sauce to favourite local pubs.

As rehearsals continue, the company is gearing up for a final-season highlight that blends comedy, music, and a very un-vampire-like sense of fun.

From rehearsal room to the stage! 🎭✨

The Frankfurter Rundschau visited a rehearsal of the students from Adorno Gymnasium, one of six schools taking part in our Schools on Stage programme. (Check out the article on www.fr.de)

Over the course of a school year, students have created and rehearsed their own original theatre pieces entirely in English, guided by their teachers and our Educational Department team.

Today is the big day: the final performances! We can’t wait to see all six schools share their work with each other—and with their proud families in the audience.

Break a leg to all participants! 🌟
