****ANNOUNCEMENT***
Unfortunately we are closing in two weeks. After trying to get a new contract with the landlord sadly it's come to this. The landlord doesn't want a bar on the premise and wants a new concept there so we are being kicked out. This happens alot in Berlin these days.
It's been almost 10 years I have been running this bar and in this time we've hosted many wonderful events, met lots of cool people and made many new friends.
Not sure if we continue in another location yet or end it here. Please drop by and say hi before we close. In the meantime I would love to see you at my new project I'm working on so follow me here if you want to see what we are up to.

Thank you very much for all your support over the years. You all have a place in my heart.

This sunday May 15th we are hosting a different event for Ukraine. This event is essentially a Meetup for Ukrainian people in Berlin who have made this city their home also our wonderful guests of the Monterey.

We feel in these times as well sending aid, providing shelter etc it is important to have some human connection so we are making this party for everyone.

We will be playing Ukrainian music of different genres, electronic beats, rock etc and we will also be showing Ukrainian films and video clips for this themed night. There will also be information about various charities and ways to help if you wish.

Naturally a portion of the nights takings will go to humanitarian relief charities and animal help and protection in Ukraine and we have a special cocktail and beer which we will also be donating 50 cents per sale.

My housemate Elena has organised this event and will be here on the night. Elena has been working tirelessly with her crew both in Ukraine and in Berlin now to save animals and help people in desperate need.

I have to be honest here, some of the efforts and stories I'm hearing from them are incredible and have definitely inspired us like many, many others to show that we do care about what is happening in Ukraine.
We do not wish to take away from the seriousness of the situation in Ukraine but we would like to provide a place and host an event to give everybody a little peace and enjoy the company of others.

Let's not give up this fight and stay strong together ❤️🇺🇦🕊️🇩🇪

This is a collaboration beer MRIYA IPA is brewed by in Ukraine and
in Berlin to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. We are selling this beer from bottles and on our taps.
A message from Underwood brewery in Kyiv: AN 225 “Mriya" was the largest civil cargo aircraft in the world, but Russian occupants destroyed it. Mriya means "Dream". We will build a new one, we will build a new Ukraine. All proceeds will go to charities for immediate humanitarian support in Ukraine.
