Donato Dozzy’s album ‘Astro’ ships on November 20. The digital single ‘Pegasu’ is out now, bringing forth visions of robots assembling for a deep-space mission launch.

In the late 70s and early 80s, Italian youngsters, including Donato Dozzy, were captivated by a wave of Japanese cartoons featuring Jumbo Machinders, awe-inspiring robots on adventures beyond our solar system. Every episode was dubbed into Italian and had its own specially written Italian theme song, pressed onto a 7-inch single.

This sparked two lifelong obsessions: vinyl records and robot figurines, both of which remain in his home today in immaculate, carefully tended collections, as seen on the album artwork.

Three years after its initial release, Moritz von Oswald’s album ‘Silencio’ returns with a repress on Tresor Records. Out November 27.

What began as synthesizer experiments and compositions in von Oswald’s Berlin studio evolved into a unique choral performance, transcribed by Jarkko Riihimäki and brought to life by Vocalconsort Berlin at Ölberg church. This session was recorded by Carlo Grippa and Anne Taegert and then incorporated into the synthesized parts of the album.

Cross-pollinating electronic and classical traditions, ‘Silencio’ continues to connect listeners across the musical spectrum.
