Antigo Jazz na Taverna, na verdade nem tão antigo assim...O primeiro evento aconteceu em setembro de 2011, na Taverna, bar do Pura Vida Hostel em Copacabana com a proposta de trazer música de qualidade para a noite da Zona Sul do Rio. Bandas como Os Roncadores, Quinteto Nuclear, Bondesom, Lotus Combo, Joel Ferreira, Monte Alegre Hot Jazz Band, Henrique Band, Jazzafinado e Fiero (Buenos Aires) toca

ram lá e fizeram do nosso evento a noite mais charmosa do Rio! Agora nos chamamos Rio Jazz Club e faremos do nosso evento um verdadeiro clube de jazz!

João Donato l Gretchen l Berlin

João Donato is one of the greatest Brazilian jazz pianists and has been an essential figure in both Brazilian and American Jazz for a long time. Known as one of bossa nova's fathers and one of Latin Jazz's biggest stars, at 85 he is still full of creative juice.

For this special concert in Berlim he brings his Latin Grammy nominated album "Donato Eléctrico", where he plays vintage electric pianos and analog synthesizers once again. Donato will be accompanied by musicians of the new scene of São Paulo, some members of the acclaimed Bixiga 70, the Afrobeat combo from Brazil that rotates the world playing festivals.
