Fallen Fortress Open Air 2019 – looking back, none of us could have imagined that this would be the last edition before the world came to a standstill.

The fortress once again became home to unforgettable moments, incredible performances and countless memories. The tent stage was on fire with energetic sets from Slope and The Butcher Sisters, while Our Hollow, Our Home returned to Fallen Fortress for their second appearance, proving once again why they had become such a fan favorite.

At the time, it was just another amazing festival weekend. Today, we know it marked the end of an era before the pandemic forced live music into silence.

A reminder to never take these moments for granted. The music, the friendships, the atmosphere – this is what Fallen Fortress has always been about.

An all-around successful festival day filled with heavy shows, great vibes, and unforgettable moments on and off stage.

One of the craziest highlights: Deez Nuts played as the very first band of the day — even though they were the headliner. The reason? They had two festival shows scheduled on the same day. Legendary energy from start to finish.

At the same time, The Oblivion played their very first festival show ever and absolutely delivered.

Closing the festival were Alazka, giving everyone the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.

Ein rundum gelungener Festivaltag mit starken Shows, guter Stimmung und jeder Menge Energie vor und auf der Bühne.

Besonders wild: Deez Nuts eröffneten das Festival als erste Band des Tages — obwohl sie eigentlich Headliner waren. Grund dafür: zwei Festivalshows an einem Tag. Absolut legendärer Move.

Außerdem feierte The Oblivion ihre erste Festivalshow überhaupt und lieferte direkt ordentlich ab.

Den Abschluss des Abends übernahmen Alazka und sorgten für einen perfekten Ausklang des Festivals.

Fallen Fortress Open Air 2017 – a year nobody will forget. What started as another heavy day at the fortress suddenly turned into chaos when a massive storm rolled in. Thunder, heavy rain and hail forced the festival to stop and brought everything to a standstill for a while. Nature clearly had its own headliner that day.

But even through the storm, one moment marked the beginning of something special: the very first appearance of King Nugget Gang at Fallen Fortress. What started that year became a tradition, leading to many more regular performances in the years that followed.

Some memories are made by perfect weather. Others are made by surviving the storm together.

We highly recommend checking out the MVRKSFEST on June 16th in Mannheim. With and leading the lineup, this one is guaranteed to be heavy.

And honestly, both bands are no strangers to us — they’ve already played Fallen Fortress twice and always delivered unforgettable shows.

Throwback to the second edition of Fallen Fortress — and the moment things really started to grow.

With rising attendance, perfect weather, and an incredible atmosphere from start to finish, this day became a huge milestone for us. Headlined by Australia’s own , the energy on and off the stage was unreal.

A day full of heavy music, good vibes, and unforgettable memories.
One of those moments that showed us Fallen Fortress was becoming something special.

Throwback to where it all began.

The very first event under the name Fallen Fortress — on the very ground we still call home today. No one knew back then what it would grow into, but the energy was already there.

With Adept and Silent Screams as our headliners, this night marked the first chapter of something bigger. Raw, loud, and unforgettable — the starting point of Fallen Fortress as we know it.

From a first edition to a movement.
