American Legion - Ansbach Post 1982

American Legion - Ansbach Post 1982 American Legion Post 1982 meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 18:00. Today's American Legion is about veterans helping veterans and their families.

Forget your preconceptions about a bunch of old people sitting around the bar, telling war stories. The Gulf War, Iraq and Afghanistan have left behind a lot of veterans with physical and psychological scars. We're focused on the basics, looking out for our brothers and sisters and championing the support they need. Join us in supporting the Ansbach Military Community.

Good morning, afternoon or night Legion members! Please join us on Sunday the 17th of May for one hour 930 in Westfriendhof located at Schnieglinger Str. 71, 90425 Nürnberg (https://maps.app.goo.gl/XEKZkyePyatT1Y42A?g_st=ac).

Across the country, in the US, communities come together every Memorial Day to place American flags at cemeteries, memorials, and homes.

The American Legion - Ansbach Post 1982 - would want to celebrate this tradition to connects us to the past, allowing us to reflect on the courage and selflessness of those who served in Nuremberg.

For many, it’s a personal way to remember loved ones who fought and died, while also recognizing the broader legacy of military sacrifice. The flag on the grave serves as a simple yet powerful symbol of respect, appreciation, and remembrance. It’s a way of making sure that those who gave their lives are never forgotten, and that we continue to honor their memory long after their service has ended.

Please come and express...We remember. We are grateful. We honor.
