Philiosophy
The places where we can hear the music we truly love are very limited in our city. We have grown up in a city and in a society where there has never been a true dedicated place where we could consistently listen to the music we grew up with and so much loved. We usually had to organise house parties or listen to our music in the privacy of our headphones or bedrooms or wait till 12 midnight to visit a club. That is, we have had to listen to our music in restraints. This comes in contradiction with everything that hip hop stands for. Freedom to express
It is with great sadness that we notice that this still applies more than 15 years later. That is why we have decided to act. In collaboration with Champs Elysees Pool Bar we have decided to act! To create a place where all people like us, who love true hip hop and RnB from the 80’s, 90s and early 2000’s can come and freely chill out and enjoy listening to the music we love. It really is all about the music! That is why we will play the music ourselves! (Resident DJs will be Ol’ Skool playing only the best of 80’s and 90s hip hop and K. playing classic 90s and 2000s RnB). That is why anyone of you can also be a DJ for a 30 minute set provided they email us in advance to make arrangements. That is why there will be open mic for anyone wanting to get out there and spit some rhymes (with the participation of Siopilos Afigitis and HipHopcrecy)
That is why there will be a swimming pool and lounge area for anyone who wants to chill or climb into the pool for a refreshing dip! That is why we might have an area for graffiti artists to do their thing! That is why for all the above we will not even charge any entrance. We are not here to make crazy profits. We are here to create a place for us by us. It’s all one big party baby!
