We will be closed from January 19th and will reopen on February 4th.

Winter is here at Cinéma.
A few glimpses of our new winter menu, out from this week. Dishes created for colder nights, deeper flavours, and the season of gathering.

Some of our new additions include:
1. Pork chop marinated in apple cider, with macerated zucchinis and BBQ sauce
2. Seared salmon with celeriac purée, root vegetable relish, and américaine sauce
3. Slow-cooked beef cheeks with potato purée, mushrooms, onions, and crumble
4. Crispy chicken bites with pickled vegetable slaw and Asian glaze

All enjoyed in our covered space that feels just right for winter nights and good company.

Today we celebrate a dear friend of Cinéma, Stelios Xydias.

From the very beginning, when Cinéma was nothing more than an idea on paper, Stelios was there. He believed in us, encouraged us, and gave us the kind of support that only a true friend can. We spent countless hours talking, dreaming, and planning, and he was always ready to guide us with honesty and heart.

Stelios is not only one of the most talented drummers and musicians in Cyprus. Having been in the industry since the age of 13, but also someone whose presence has shaped this space in a very real way. From helping us choose the right sound system to curating playlists and sharing his musical taste, the atmosphere you feel at Cinéma carries his touch.

And beyond all of this, Stelios is a constant presence at the bar. With Millie, his sweet terrier, by his side, he has become part of the daily rhythm of this place.

We are endlessly grateful to call him part of our family.

Three years of Cinéma.

Hard to believe it’s been that long, but here we are.

August always brings us back to the beginning.
A dusty courtyard, cracked concrete, and a concrete wall. There was no lighting, no seating, no projections; just a vision. A quiet idea that maybe, just maybe, we could turn this into something special.

Three years later, that idea is still alive, only now it has your laughter, your stories, and the energy you bring every night.

Since day one, our goal has been simple: to create a space that feels honest, intentional, and full of life. A place to meet, reconnect, slow down, or speed up, depending on the mood.

Along the way, the team has grown. We’ve learned, adapted, and added new chapters; menus have evolved, drinks have changed, but the feeling has stayed the same. The kind of feeling you can’t force, only nurture.

So thank you for showing up, and for giving this space meaning. We wouldn’t be here without you.
