I don't even know where to start😱! What a wonderful experience to eat in such a lovely♥️ restaurant!. Located in the famous "Paseo del Prado", many years ago, this place used to be a popular pub among members of The Orthodox Party.
Nowadays "El tatagua" is a private restaurant which follows two different ways at the same time: the traditional and the modern cuisine.
We started with two delicious breads🍞, the crusty one with tomato🍅, basil🌿, Serrano ham and gratin cheese🧀 and the soft one filled with octopus🐙 with onions, corn🌽 and tomato sauce, just before knowing i was about to meet once again with an extraordinary dish that I had only eaten once in my life "tamales a la Marinera". Additionally, everything made sense when I discovered that we were talking about the same chef😅.
Starting to get even better, we enjoy two special fresh pastas. The first one is made up of bacon🥓, onion, mushrooms🍄, cream of milk and Parmesan cheese🧀 and my favorite one of chicken, arugula, onion, same cheese and a white wine sauce.
And suddenly 💣 boom!!!!! The best part of the evening! The meat🍖! Perfect combination of sweet (sweet potato) and the strong flavour of Blue cheese over the soft beef.
Cuban dessert! Nice service! Perfect Argentinian wine to end the night!
