Nazdarovie (which means "To Your Health" in Russian and Ukrainian) is a privately owned restaurant on the waterfront of Havana Cuba. Our restaurant celebrates the amazing foods of Russia, the Ukraine, and other ex republics of the Soviet Union. Along with offering you superb food (our Russian-Ukrainian-Cuban chef is a graduate of one of the best chef academies in the world) in a retro-Soviet ambiance, our inspiration is to also pay homage to the thousands of Soviet women who decided to make Cuba permanently their home during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s (few Soviet men settled in Cuba during that time) and the thousands of their sons and daughters born in Cuba. We also pay tribute to the thousands of Cubans who went to study university in the USSR and maintain a deep sense of nostalgia for the years of their youth there. We do not take sides regarding politics, but believe in the magic of how food and drink can bring people closer together, and in the end, we are all brothers and sisters on a fragile planet.
