The Rico Tico Bar and Grill began back in 1995 as a small 20 seat poolside Boca Bar at Hotel Si Como No with a simple menu of appetizers for our 17 room hotel. As the hotel grew in popularity into a Boutique Resort, so did the menu and space expand to become the well known brand of genuine "Tico" hospitality. Many of our customers are on a first name basis with the staff, and some go back to the f

irst Chalupa and Banana Flambé we served nearly 15 years ago. Now with thousands of homemade desserts served every year, we still are known for our personal service, our consistent quality and value that we strive to deliver as part of the exceptional Costa Rica experience that's Si Como No is all about. We try to always practice what we preach! For example our kitchens recycles fruit and vegetables into compost along with recycling approximately 80% of our waste by-products produced daily by the hotel. Seeking harmony between our own species and the rest of Mother Nature's habitat, including the monkeys who hang around in our canopy, is part of our practices of CST (Certification of Sustainable Tourism). Our menu, although delicious, is not part of their natural diet. We hope you'll enjoy all that's part of the Magic of Nature and Good Nature that is Costa Rica. Bienvenidos! Rico Tico Bar and Grill empezó labores en el año 1995 como un pequeño bar para bocas a la par de la piscina, con solamente 20 asientos y un menú muy simple de bocadillos para las 17 habitaciones con las que contaba el Hotel Si Como No en ese tiempo. Conforme el hotel fue aumentando su popularidad y convirtiéndose en un "Resort" tipo Boutique, igualmente fue aumentando el menú y la capacidad para convertirse en una marca genuina y bien conocida de la hospitalidad "Tica". Muchos de nuestros clientes ya inclusive conocen todos los nombres de nuestro personal y muchos de ellos se remontan a la primera chalupa o banana flambee servida hace casi 15 años. Hoy en día con miles de postres hechos en casa servidos cada año, aun se nos reconoce por nuestro servicio personalizado, nuestra consistente calidad y el valor que radica en llevar a cada mesa una autentica experiencia costarricense, que es en realidad de lo que se trata Si Como No. Siempre ponemos en práctica lo que prometemos. Por ejemplo, nuestras cocinas reciclan frutas y vegetales en abono y además se recicla aproximadamente el 80% de nuestros propios desperdicios de lo que el hotel produce. Buscar la armonía entre nuestra propia especie y el resto del habitat de la madre naturaleza, incluyendo los monos que nos visitan, es parte de nuestras practicas CST (Certificación de Turismo Sostenible. Le pedimos por favor no alimentar a los animales, nuestra comida, aunque sabemos que es deliciosa, no es parte de la dieta de ellos.
