The time has come to say goodbye to Gilly's. We are sadly announcing the closing of Gilly's, Nanjing.
Gilly's couldn't have been what it has been over the years without each and every one of you. We have gotten to know you all so well over time that you have become a part of our family. Unfortunately, China and the rest of the world are going through some difficult times and a period of change. As much as we'd love to have you all together for drinks and a laugh, we just can't and unfortunately don't know when we will be able to again. With that, we have come to the difficult decision to close the doors.
Though this may be a sad time for many of us, feel comforted in knowing the friends we have made, the stories we have shared, trips taken, tears shed and too many laughs to count. You have touched our family in such ways that we can't begin to express that here and for that, we will be forever grateful.
This Sunday, April 12th, will be our last day of business. Please pop in for one last beer, pizza, to say a goodbye to Terry and the place or whatever it may be. Again, you all made Gilly's and our community the special place that it is. We've been blessed to build bonds that will last for years and years to come. Remember the good times and smile when looking back at the moments we've had together. It's an uncertain future for many of us right now but no matter what's to come, know that you will forever be in our hearts. This isn't good bye but a see ya later as there will always be a cold beer and a hug waiting for you at a Gilly's somewhere...
