For five beautiful years, Más was our life. It was much more than a business, as our regulars & close friends all know. But sadly, with all these recent, glorious "renovations," we've got to move on, even if we are licensed. Beijing is no longer the city Ariel and I fell in love with ten years ago. We will happily continue on elsewhere.

Mas will reopen Wednesday April 26th and close down for good this Sunday, April 30th. Sunday we will sell off everything to fundraise for our next projects. Come by show us love and support and have a drink with us amongst the rubble.

The march of hutong "renovations" & "progress" has unfortunately been gutting our lovely Beixinqiao Toutiao. So, sadly, we're losing the front stoop and awing on Friday morning. Don't worry, because we will still have outdoor seating during summer, between our lovely trees! (Which have grown a lot this Spring!)

In the meantime, come by tomorrow to enjoy our cute front stoop for one last night! We will have BEIXINQIAO SOUR cocktails for 30RMB each ALL NIGHT to celebrate what we all still have.

We are also open from eight pm tonight, since the electricity in our street will be shut off in the afternoon due to construction. Full kitchen.

It's trying times for hutong businesses. They are either totally in the dark, or have to contend with a hideous bricked up facade, or worse. Let's all knock on wood for más, which seems okay for right now. But things are not okay for our jiaozi shop & Majiang parlor neighbors. In the meanwhile, SUPPORT HUTONG BUSINESSES! Support and love in our community is what we need right now. ❤️

This weekend is Easter, not that it means too much to us here at Más; but it's a unique opportunity to share some excellent Jesus-centric songs. All week long we'll feature (not annoying or terrifying) soul songs and the like...
We start with (a very stoned... or something) broken-armed Al Green feeling that Holy Spirit. Or maybe he's just really feeling his drug of choice. Regardless, it's an smooth, sexy ballad to the Lord. Nothing creepy about that.
