Our first foray into the world of gene-edited beer comes in the form of this Thiolized Hazy Pale. Thiols are flavour-rich compounds present in malt and hops that can be unlocked with the help of certain enzymes. The result is a juicy rush of liberated passionfruit, guava and super dank hop notes that’s perfect for beer lovers and scientists alike. Available at all stores!

Orchard Plum – our cabernet sauvignon wine-barrel-aged wild ale – is back! We originally brewed this beer in 2021, and released it the following year in the spring. This is Jing-A’s most experimental and unique brew, featuring 50% fruit, and we were incredibly excited by the results. This second batch was brewed in March of last year and features 300kgs of the freshest, juiciest plums imaginable, layered on top of a barrel aged Koji Red Ale base. Available at all Taprooms!

June 1st is Children’s Day, and what better way to celebrate than with beer. Just kidding… that’s totally inappropriate. However, AS ADULTS, what we can celebrate is the simple nostalgic joys of childhood.

We’re channeling that Kia Ora energy with this zippy New Zealand Session IPA. Big notes of tangelo and lime from New Zealand’s own Waimea and Moteuka hops are rounded out with a hint of papaya from a late Citra addition. Light bodied, dry, and appropriately bitter, this IPA delivers a crisp, bright palate that should have you saying “Sweet As" in no time.

Tasty yeasts are all around us, it’s just a matter of capturing them. Traditionally, brewers would gather yeast from the air by fermenting their wort in a large open-air tank (called a Koelschip)… similar starting a sour-dough culture. Fruit skins also host large amounts of naturally occurring yeasts, so fruit additions are also a very traditional way to help beer ferment (not a crazy new trend, as some would think!). At Jing-A, we also regularly add fruit additions to our wild beers to create exciting, never-before-tasted flavours.

Into the Wild is a mixed-culture grisette (a farmhouse ale), made using a combination of wild yeasts and bacteria. The result is a complex, sour brew with notes of barnyard, pepper, and lemon peel on the nose. Launching at all Beijing Taprooms today!
