Is this real?

Ein Realität gewordener Fiebertraum. ist das Alias von Faunes Efe, einem der produktivsten und einflussreichsten Protagonisten der zeitgenössischen elektronischen Underground-Szene in Bogotá, Kolumbien.
Über die letzten Jahre hat er fast im Monatstakt veröffentlicht. Sein Markenzeichen ist eine rohe, cinematische Lo-Fi-Ästhetik, die an die beklemmende Atmosphäre dystopischer Soundtracks erinnert. Unaufhaltsam bewegt sich sein Sound durch die Gehörgänge und setzt sich in der Amygdala fest. Filmmaker steht stellvertretend für eine neue Generation lateinamerikanischer Künstler:innen, die den globalen Underground mit einer klanglichen Intensität prägen, die konsequent auf rhythmische Durchdringung und atmosphärische Tiefe setzt.

Basic-Space wird erneut ein Live-Set spielen, nachdem er das Publikum im Januar bereits in den Bann gezogen hat. Langsame Beats, hypnotische Synthies, beklommenes Zuhören. Es verfolgt uns noch immer.

Nïgma und Apo-1 von der Umbo-Crew liefern den Soundtrack zum Untergang. EBM, Industrial, Techno.

On one side, Ben, the sonic architect behind the electro-dark cult Hammershøi; on the other, Jules, the voice and electro punk-ebm nerve of Zug.

Having closed their respective chapters on the stages of major international festivals, the two multi-instrumentalists have merged into an entity that rejects the superfluous.
Their synthetic minimalism transforms Italian-French aesthetics into constant tension: a sharp dialogue between Teutonic rigor and Italo-French creativity.

Es ist wieder soweit!
nachdem Eva uns bereits im Dezember mit Ihrer Band OK Karate beglückt hat, durften wir Sie für diese Ausgabe als Autorin gewinnen. Das Doppeldate war bereits im Dezmeber angedacht und gemäss ihrem Vorschlag wird sie nun von der Band Wasser aus Zürich begleitet.
Auch hier finden namenhafte Autorinnen und Autoren musikalisch zusammen.

Eva Rottmann
geb. 1983 in Wertheim, lebt mit ihren Kindern in Zürich, schreibt Theaterstücke und Prosa, entwickelt eigene Performance- und Theaterprojekte, arbeitet als Literaturvermittlerin in Schulklassen und als Lehrbeauftragte an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste. Für ihre Arbeit wurde sie mehrfach ausgezeichnet, zuletzt mit dem Deutschen Kinder- und Jugendliteraturpreis für Kurz vor dem Rand und dem Schweizer Kinder- und Jugendliteraturpreis für Fu***ng fu***ng schön.

Das isch Wasser
Wasser bastelt seit 2016 an seinem Ausdruck. Auffällig dabei: Die hohe literarische Qualität der Liedtexte, der klare Themenfokus (die Lieder erzählen zu 93% vom eigenen Versagen), die musikalischen Lichtblicke inmitten all der fulminanten Stümperei und nicht zuletzt der Brückenbau zwischen den Dialekten.
Wasser, steht nicht nur für die Verschmelzung von Musik und Literatur, Wasser ist insbesondere therapeutisches Rüstzeug für den heilsamen Riss im Selbstbild.
Wasser besteht aus gestandenen Kulturakteur:innen. Sie haben am Literaturinstitut studiert, an Kunsthochschulen doziert, veröffentlichen bei Verlagen, tragen Preise sowie Ehren, erhalten Kulturfördergelder, und präsentieren sich regelmässig vor Publikum, Mikrofon und Fernsehkamera.

Wasser besteht zu 100% aus:
Sophie Ann Steffen / Mathias W. Schmid / Dominic Oppliger

Die Türöffnung ist um 20 Uhr. Um 20:30 Uhr ist angedacht mit der Lesung zu starten und im Anschluss folgt das Konzert.
Während der Lesung und dem Konzert werden wir den Ausschank an der Bar aussetzen um die Ruhe für die Auftritte zu bewahren.
Der Richtpreis für den Eintritt liegt bei 15 CHF.

With his first full-length album ‘Ruinenkampf, released via Hamburg based quality label Bureau B, Das Kinn embarks on a musical tour de force through the ruins of our time. An electronic armada and kickbox-phonetics lead us through haunting soundscapes somewhere between DAF, Kosmische Kuriere and Frankfurt Bahnhofsviertel. Beats on full blast. Bones rattle. Warm synthlines played by cold hands. A saxophone ponders the after. Hymns for the demolition. Sonic meditations on decay. Music for the solemn decline.

An international Zurich-based trio (Brazil / UK / Australia) operating at the intersection of noise, EBM, and spoken word. Abrasive vocals and shouted fragments confront war, resistance, and alienation. Performances are volatile and physical, driven by free-flowing improvised movement from the lead vocalist, unstable textures, and strobe-lit intensity.
