KW-ARTISTS
The artists playing on our closing day are all deeply linked to ZW. They were either here on the first hours, build a wall or our IT structure, participated to countless meetings, saved our ass in a rush or are simply still sweating for the space.

☆ zan b2b sas (méchattes) ☆
zan & sas are co-founders of the recently brought to life collective ‚méchattes‘. Each have their own musical universe, which expands each time they dive into each other‘s. Join them as they meet among their stars.

☆ dj landing b2b gvt6 ☆
Bromance made years ago, often raving or playing in ZW, two partners in crime that will come for once together behind the desks.

☆ Yuul b2b Sigo Lassi ☆
Yael, a New Yorker, and Sigi, a young German immigrant from Leipzig, meet while working as kitchen helper and dishwasher in the Japanese restaurant Omen Azen. After long shifts, Yael always drives Sigi home while a Grace Jones cassette plays on repeat. They become best friends, find support in each other, and soon move into a small shabby apartment on Macdougal Street, with a growing record collection. Music becomes their refuge and later takes them to stages around the world. Today, they play only rarely, but still with the same passion.

The two housemates share an experience of radio and love for eclectism. We don’t know yet where this set will take us but they promised to make us dance.

ZW OGs, Akra Ondo and Formant share a soft spot for the deep end. Together, they drift through hypnotic grooves, rolling basslines and leftfield gems, stitching together sounds that are warm, psychedelic and organic.

MiZik unplugged w/Maelle Yena & José Joaquín

Maelle Yena (Vocals) und José Joaquín (Gitarre), sind ein intim-poetisches Singer-Songwriter-Duo. Aufgewachsen in Chile und der Schweiz, wurden sie geprägt von unterschiedlichen Kulturen, sozialen Umfeldern und Lebensgeschichten. In diesem Projekt schaffen sie, durch unterschiedliche Songs und Sprachen, Raum für verschiedene Perspektiven, Meinungen und Herangehensweisen an das Leben, die Musik und den Text. Sie verstehen diese Vielfalt als Produkt der unterschiedlichen Erfahrungen und Umstände, die ihre Persönlichkeiten geformt haben.

Mit ihrem Duo öffnen sie bei MiZik Outside Unplugged einen intimen musikalischen Raum, der Dialog, Reflexion und Verbundenheit ermöglicht.

Eine Tanzperformance, die Ruhe neu denkt.
Das Kollektiv hearhere lädt in einen Raum ein, in dem Stillstand zu einem radikalen Akt wird. „a park 70%“ ist eine Tanzperformance, die das Liegen in eine lebendige, spielerische und zärtliche Auseinandersetzung mit Ruhe, Entschleunigung und Fürsorge verwandelt – für uns selbst und füreinander.

In einer Gesellschaft, die Produktivität oft mit Wert gleichsetzt, hinterfragt dieses Projekt die Vorstellung, dass Liegen passiv, unproduktiv oder bedeutungslos sei. Stattdessen lädt die Performance dazu ein, Verletzlichkeit als Ort von Heilung, Ermächtigung, Protest und Verbindung zu erfahren.

Eine Einladung zum Innehalten, Ausruhen und gemeinsamen Andersdenken.

Der Schachklub Kreis 4 wurde 2017 in Zürich gegründet. Wöchentlich organisiert er im Zürcher Kreis 4 einen offenen Schachtreff, der in Form von freiem Spiel und verschiedenen Turniervarianten stattfindet. Als antikapitalistisches, ausserparlamentarisches und revolutionäres Projekt singt die Gruppe Lieder aus verschiedenen widerständigen und emanzipatorischen Bewegungen. Sunnig Aar creates instrumental music centred on the pedal steel guitar, with a sound somewhere between Hermanos Gutiérrez and cinematic ambient country. Thanks to drum machines and cassette devices, his instrumental music attains a dimension worthy of the echoes of barren Alpine valleys. In the new composition “Im Mai”, the pedal steel guitar leads the gently psychedelic journey, supported by a tabla drum that moves with the steady rhythm of falling rain.
