ENGLISH: ACABrau is a small collective doing what they love most, brewing drinks and helping people at the same time. It is our intention to make the world a better place by both helping those in need and by creating enjoyment for those who are doing good. All around the world people drink, have parties and enjoy themselves. Our concept is to make this a charitable activity by donating the money, received from each bottle of beer and cider we sell, to charity. The main two charities we wish to donate to are Antirep and BAAS, however if something else occurs that we feel strongly about, some money will be diverted to help out as needed.
Antirep is an organisation which helps people who are the victims of repression. They do this by providing free legal support to the victims and running a website which informs others of the ongoing investigations etc. This is a cause that is close to our heart as we too have been the victims of repression and police violence. We live in a world where freedom of speech and even freedom of movement is being threatened and thus such an organisation is needed. Sadly everything costs money and as such we wish to support them through donations.
Our second charity is BAAS (Be Aware And Share) which, after having spent time volunteering in Greece helping and befriending many refugees, is close to our heart. BAAS helps refugee children on the island of Chios in Greece as well as those stranded in Paris and elsewhere. Let me just quote from BAAS themselves: "We coordinate the support given in crisis regions and inform as well as raise awareness in Switzerland. In this way, we take a stand for more solidarity with people in need."
