Introducing Winnie 🐻🍯🌱

Before he became one of the world’s most beloved storybook characters, Winnie the Pooh was inspired by an orphaned black bear named Winnipeg Bear, or “Winnie” for short. Purchased by a Canadian soldier and raised by his infantry brigade on their journey overseas during the First World War, Winnie became a gentle symbol of warmth, companionship, and hometown pride before eventually arriving at the London Zoo where she would inspire generations through A.A. Milne’s storytelling.
With Winnie, we set out to create a beer that reflects that same sense of comfort, familiarity, and prairie pride while paying tribute to the city that gave her name to the world. Brewed with locally grown barley malt from and local wildflower honey from , this amber lager is deeply rooted in Winnipeg and the Prairies. A delicate blend of English hops contributes soft floral citrus aromas that mingle effortlessly with notes of honeyed biscuit and fresh bread. Smooth malt character is balanced by a crisp, refreshing finish that keeps each sip light, composed and endlessly inviting.
Comforting yet refined, familiar yet distinctive, Winnie is a beer built around balance, warmth, and approachability. More importantly, it is a celebration of local agriculture, prairie hospitality and the stories that connect us to home.
