Well here I am prepared as can be for my trip to Toronto to finish recording and editing my album that I’ve been working on of and on now for 2 years and also to share my Prairiesoulmusic for 4 guaranteed performances. Flight leaves at noon Dec 4th.
2 shows Dec 6 and 8 are at Penny's these shows are PWYC (pay what you can shows) so hopefully I entertain and impress the folks in audience enough to throw me some bones - the 3rd show on Dec 12th is $100 guarantee or the door at $10 fee whichever is greater (let’s hope a lot of folks decide to attend Drom Taberna it’s a fabulous venue and I don’t have a huge following in Toronto so I am grateful for the opportunity to share my Prairie Soul on their world class stage (they also are throwing in dinner that night) which will be very welcome because I’m going on my trip on an extremely tight budget) the 4th show Dec 15th is a fundraiser and I am donating my time and talent to an amazing organization aimed at helping artists with mental health issues such as myself get professional studio recordings - I hope the event held at Lula Lounge titled Simple Human Kindness helps The Birdsong New Music Foundation get the financial help they need to continue to help others with the opportunity to have their music professionally recorded as they did for me a few years back !
To help with this trip I did apply for a travel grant from MBArts council but will not know If I’m awarded till the new year.
So having said that if you wish to help support my music career and care to send some monetary love I would be sincerely grateful -
