Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays, everyone! After five delicious years, numerous firsts for the Town of Windsor, NS, many accolades, and awards, we have so many reasons to be thankful and grateful.
To all those lovely, friendly patrons who enjoyed our little joint and created enough of a buzz to help it become the first restaurant to be mentioned (even featured!) in Curated Magazine Halifax and made their Top 50 Best Places to Eat in Nova Scotia edition, who voted for our Settebello Burger in order for us to win Burger Wars 2022, and who visited us at the 2022 Devour! Food Film Fest as the first Windsor restaurant to be invited to chef at their Gala Evening, A VERY BIG THANK YOU!
To all of our local suppliers who furnished us with top-quality ingredients in order for us to create our tasty, award-winning dishes, A VERY BIG THANK YOU!
To all of our *friendly* neighbours (business and otherwise) who supported us in so many ways (many of you were patrons too!), A VERY BIG THANK YOU!
To all of our numerous and super-talented musician friends who helped us become a cool spot for top-tier music, especially when we were the only ones for miles who still offered live music in a safe environment during the pandemic, A VERY BIG THANK YOU!
To all of our super-talented artist friends (painters, photographers, cartographers, textile artists) who displayed (and sold!) their pieces and installations throughout our joint for our entire five-year run to contribute to Winegrunt's particularly eclectic and discerning aesthetic, A VERY BIG THANK YOU!
To all the people who helped us physically create our unique space (and take it all down recently), A VERY BIG THANK YOU!
While we would have certainly caught many of our musician friends' gigs, artist friend's exhibits whenever we had the time, it was thanks to our Winegrunt venture that we have been able to forge friendships and relationships with all of you. You have all enriched our lives and we remain in awe of your talents! Now, we look forward to enjoying your brilliant stuff in other spaces and towns/cities.
We have attached a few photos that range from our 2017 Xmas Vespa ride to 43 Water Street to take a photo of the soon-to-open wine bar (where you can see how bar's interior and exterior were originally and how much work we put into the creation of our space!), to our Burger Wars Champion Settebello Burger, Curated Magazine Halifax's Top 50 Places to Eat in Nova Scotia edition (the first Windsor restaurant to make it here!), our Devour! blackboard sign with Chef Astrid's deliciously vegan Red Lentil Curry dish, and, of course, our tree ... with the Burger Wars Trophy in the foreground ... and Lilli in the background ;-).
In holiday spirit, we believe it is important to emphasize the positive.
