⚾️ Nothing beats seeing our community come together through sport!

We're proud to support the Yukon Little League and help get these young athletes out on the field in their new jerseys. Seeing the excitement, teamwork, and confidence that sports help build is exactly why community sponsorships matter.

A huge thank you to the volunteers, coaches, families, and everyone who makes youth baseball possible in the Yukon. We can't wait to cheer these players on throughout the season!
Good luck, team! 🧡⚾️

We're getting to see some REAL BASEBALL!!! Thanks to Da Daghay Development Corporation for being such an amazing sponsor and supporter of our league!!! Look how great the kiddos look in their jerseys!!

We had an incredible visit this week! 🏡✨

DDDC was honoured to host The Honourable Gregor Robertson and Yukon MP Brendan Hanley at Winter Crossing — the largest affordable housing project the Yukon has seen since our very own River Bend!

It was a proud moment to show off what this community has been building together, and we’re SO excited to share that Building One is getting ready for move-in by the end of June! 📅🔑

We want to take a moment to shout out the amazing partners who made Winter Crossing possible:

💙 Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) — thank you for your investment in affordable housing across Canada, including right here in the Yukon.
💛 Government of Yukon, Yukon Housing Corporation — thank you for your continued commitment to housing our communities.
🚧 Triple Bottom Line Developments Inc. & all of our incredible contractors — your hard work, dedication, and craftsmanship is visible in every corner of this building. We are so grateful!

New homes. New neighbours. New beginnings — right here in the Yukon. We can’t wait! 🎉

What an incredible week celebrating innovation, collaboration, and northern leadership at the Arctic Inspiration Prize Ceremony and the Arctic Indigenous Investment Conference. ✨

As proud Co-Owners of the Arctic Inspiration Prize, we are continually inspired by the vision, passion, and impact being created across the North. These gatherings are a powerful reminder of what can happen when Indigenous communities, organizations, and leaders come together to support ideas that create lasting change for future generations.

A huge congratulations to the 2026 Arctic Inspiration Prize Laureates:
🌟 The Land Remembers Us: Intergenerational Camps for Healing and Strength (Northwest Territories)
🌟 Southern Lakes Caribou in the Schools (Yukon)
🌟 Dene Language Workshops: The Stories We Tell (Northwest Territories)
🌟 Earth, Fire and Flood (Northwest Territories)
🌟 Łä̀ch’i Kų̀ Indigenous Tourism Collective (Yukon)
🌟 Arctic Drone Soccer Program (Nunavik)

We especially want to recognize and celebrate this year’s Yukon winners — Southern Lakes Caribou in the Schools and Łä̀ch’i Kų̀ Indigenous Tourism Collective. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition and for the important work you are leading in our communities. 👏

For 14 years, the Arctic Inspiration Prize has celebrated ideas shaped by Northerners, for Northerners — supporting projects grounded in culture, language, healing, education, youth empowerment, and community wellbeing.

The Arctic Indigenous Investment Conference also created an important space for meaningful conversations, partnerships, and opportunities focused on strengthening Indigenous economies and advancing northern-led initiatives.

We also want to give a special shout out to Desiree for her incredible work moving into her third year as the Yukon Regional Manager Representative for the Arctic Inspiration Prize. Your dedication, leadership, and commitment to supporting northern changemakers does not go unnoticed, and we are proud to see the impact you continue to make across the Yukon and beyond. ❤️

Congratulations to all nominees, finalists, organizers, and everyone involved in making this year’s events such a success. We are proud to continue supporting initiatives that uplift northern voices, innovation, and community-driven solutions.

DDDC is pleased to share an exciting opportunity involving our Business Officer, Ethan LaVallee.

Ethan has been selected to participate in the BC/YT Young Indigenous Leaders Exchange Pilot Program to the Indo-Pacific, an initiative co-developed with First Nations leaders in British Columbia and the Yukon. The program is delivered in partnership between the First Nations Centre of Excellence and Global Affairs Canada.

Ethan was nominated by Elaine Chambers of Dana Naye Ventures and has been supported by Dana Naye Ventures to attend, alongside support from DDDC as a representative of the organization. He will also be participating as a delegate for his First Nation and as a Canadian representative.

As part of this three-week international exchange to the Indo-Pacific, Ethan will be representing DDDC by building relationships with Indigenous communities across each country, meeting with their respective governments, and gaining a better understanding of how Indigenous peoples and governments work together. This includes discussions in New Zealand around Indigenous governance agreements, as well as exploring tourism, cultural initiatives, foundations, and economic development organizations.

Key Outcomes:
• Build relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and leaders across the Indo-Pacific
• Gain insight into Indigenous governance models and government relationships
• Identify potential partnerships in tourism, economic development, and cultural sectors
• Grow DDDC’s international network with governments, foundations, and business groups
• Bring back practical insights and opportunities that can support future projects and initiatives for TKC and DDDC
Following the program, DDDC will look at how these connections and insights can turn into real opportunities that align with our priorities. This includes exploring partnerships, sharing what was learned, and identifying where DDDC can play a role internationally moving forward.

We are pleased to have Ethan representing DDDC in this opportunity. His commitment to growth, leadership, and representing Yukon First Nations on an international stage reflects the values we stand behind, and we look forward to the impact of this experience moving forward.

🎉 Happy 7-Year Anniversary, Tiffany! 🎉

Seven years. That's 2,555+ days of showing up, leading with heart, and making DDDC a better place!

Over the past seven years, Tiffany has been so much more than a colleague — she's been a cornerstone of this organization. Her ability to hold the big picture and the fine details, to lead with strategy while never losing sight of the people behind the work, is something truly special. DDDC has grown and evolved in no small part because of her steady hand and clear vision.

From championing major projects and representing DDDC at events and conferences, to mentoring staff and quietly moving new opportunities forward behind the scenes — Tiffany brings professionalism, passion, and purpose to everything she touches. The many hats she wears? She makes every single one look effortless.

Tiffany, your dedication, your drive, and the genuine care you pour into this team and community do not go unnoticed. We see it. We feel it. And we're so lucky to have you.
Here's to seven incredible years — and to all the amazing things still ahead. 🥂✨

Congratulations, Tiffany! 🎊
