Podium, Canada’s national bilingual choral Conference and Festival, is the premier gathering place for the country’s choral and group singing arts sector and community.

Presented by Choral Canada and the British Columbia Choral Federation, this multi-day celebration from May 14-17, 2026 will take place at the Farquhar, located on the unceded territory of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Xʷsepsəm/Esquimalt) peoples and is the traditional gathering place of the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples.

Hear variety of beautiful and exhilarating music, such as Brahms’ lively Hungarian Dances Nos. 5 and 6, Smetana’s evocative symphonic poem, The Moldau, Kodály’s spectacular Dances of Galánta, works by Glinka and Coates, and a special première of a work by GVYO alumna Leslie Opatril.
