Club Latino 'Club Latino' is a place for you to enjoy a unique atmosphere with great live Latin music and dance.

Club Latino is an important fundraiser for the Victoria Multi-Cultural Society. All profits are used to keep the traditions of Latin music, dance and culture alive in Victoria and provide an opportunity for musicians and dancers to perform. Club Salsa is also a gathering place for the Latino community where cultural events can be celebrated.

🔥 THIS FRIDAY, CUBA MEETS THE VICTORIA WATERFRONT. 🔥

Some musicians play a set. Miguelito Valdés brings a lifetime of rhythm to the stage.

This Friday, August 28th at 5 PM, the internationally acclaimed Cuban musician returns to Puerto Vallarta Amigos at Fisherman’s Wharf for another summer evening of live music, tacos, cold drinks and harbour sunsets. 🌮🍺🌊

Miguelito’s résumé reads like a trip through modern Latin music history. He was part of “La Rumba Soy Yo,” the 2001 Latin Grammy-winning recording, before spending six years touring the world alongside Omara Portuondo, the legendary voice of Buena Vista Social Club.

Along the way, he has shared music and stages with artists including Gilberto Santa Rosa, Michael Stuart and Ricardo Lemvo, and contributed to Rhythms del Mundo, the ambitious Cuban-meets-rock project featuring music from Sting, Coldplay, U2 and Maroon 5.

But this Friday, forget the résumé.

Come hear him where music like this belongs — outside, beside the ocean, with a cold drink in your hand and fish tacos on the table.

🇲🇽🔥 THIS SUNDAY, VERACRUZ COMES TO THE WHARF. 🔥🇲🇽

Some performances are part of the summer. This one is a once-in-a-season kind of moment.

This Sunday, August 16, Puerto Vallarta Amigos welcomes Ensamble y Ballet Folklórico de Veracruz, coming from Veracruz, Mexico, for a special afternoon of live Mexican music, dance, colour and tradition at Fisherman’s Wharf.

And this isn’t simply a dance performance.

Founded in 1990, Ballet Folklórico de Veracruz has spent decades carrying Mexican culture to audiences around the world, representing Veracruz and Mexico at national and international events across France, Spain, Italy, Singapore, Cuba, Venezuela, Turkey, Canada and the United States. Their performances are accompanied by their own Ensamble Folklórico de Veracruz, bringing the music and movement together as one show. (My Site)

Their recorded catalogue reaches deep into Mexican folk traditions, including pieces such as “La Bruja,” “Las Amarillas” and “El Toro Rabón,” with recordings dating back nearly two decades and newer releases continuing that tradition today. (Spotify)

Now imagine all of that against the Victoria harbour: traditional dresses moving across the waterfront, live musicians playing just metres from the ocean, tacos coming off the grill and Fisherman’s Wharf becoming a little piece of Veracruz for an afternoon. 🌊🎶💃

This is a unique appearance and the only opportunity to see them with us — so if you’re going to make it to one of our summer shows, make it this one.

Puerto Vallarta Amigos has become more than tacos by the water — it’s becoming one of Victoria’s most unexpected summer stages. And this weekend, Latin Summer Nights brings two very different nights of music to Fisherman’s Wharf.

🇻🇪❤️ FRIDAY, AUGUST 7 — THE MUSIC MEANS MORE.

At 5:30 PM, Miguelito Valdés takes the stage for a night with a purpose beyond the music.

Following the recent earthquake in Venezuela, Puerto Vallarta Amigos will donate a portion of Friday’s profits to the relief fund organized by the Venezuelan Canadian Society of BC.

For Venezuelans living in British Columbia, what’s happening back home isn’t simply another headline. There are families and communities on the other side of those images. Friday is our chance to come together — over food, music and community — and do something that reaches far beyond Victoria’s waterfront.

🔥💃 SATURDAY, AUGUST 8 — SALSA TAKES OVER THE WHARF.

Then Saturday, the mood shifts from solidarity to celebration as Salsa Beat Ensemble hits the waterfront at 5:30 PM.

This 12-piece Colombian salsa orchestra brings driving percussion, blazing horns and the huge, irresistible sound of authentic Colombian salsa — music built for one thing: DANCING.

Two nights. Two completely different reasons to gather. And both completely FREE.

Puerto Vallarta Amigos has become more than tacos by the water — it’s becoming one of Victoria’s most unexpected summer stages.

This Saturday, August 8th, Salsa Beat Ensemble takes over Fisherman’s Wharf. This 12-piece Colombian salsa orchestra brings together driving percussion, blazing horns and the big, irresistible sound of authentic Colombian salsa — music built for one thing: dancing. 💃🔥

While the band brings the rhythm, Puerto Vallarta Amigos brings the rest: fish tacos off the grill, cold drinks, harbour sunsets and one incredible waterfront atmosphere. 🌮🍹🌊

There are nights when live music is entertainment. And then there are nights when it becomes something else entirely.

This Friday, August 7 at 5:30 PM, Miguelito Valdés takes the stage at Puerto Vallarta Amigos—but behind the music, the tacos and the summer night at Fisherman’s Wharf is a much bigger reason for gathering: helping communities in Venezuela affected by the recent earthquake.

For Venezuelans living in British Columbia, what’s happening back home isn’t simply another international headline. There are families, friends and communities on the other side of those images. Distance can create a particular kind of helplessness—but it can also create the determination to do something.
