Well that's a wrap folks!!! Our Volunteer Appreciation Evening was a delightful evening with excellent Mexican Food from Los Huesos. Thanks to board member, Gil Kafka, who provided the entertainment with talented VSS music students serving up some jazz standards.
Big thanks to Volunteer Coordinator Rosemarie Brownfield, who is stepping down from her role. We are so grateful for her hard work this past season.

Our final show of this spectacular season was the perfect “cherry on top” evening. Pianist extraordinaire Kristian Alexandrov and soulful singer/percussionist Shannon Gaye had the audience grooving well into the night. Joined by their outstanding supporting musicians — Adam Cormier on drums and Derek DiFilippo on bass — they delivered a delightful blend of jazz, pop, R&B, and original compositions that beautifully showcased their remarkable talents.

THANK YOU to each and every one of you who have supported our successful season and to our valued volunteers.

We deeply appreciate you all and will continue to do our best in bringing the best talent to our beloved club.

Well that was a blast!! The Jazz Implication did not disappoint - these cool cats had us groovin' into the night...

Bandmates were Liam Nadurak on trumpet, Will Friesen on drums, Jordan Dick on guitar, Jake McIntyre-Paul on bass, and Dan Smith on guitar. Montreal vocalist (originally from Vernon) Gustave Savignac joined the local gents from the Salmon Arm area for a fantastic show last Saturday.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support these fine musicians and to our volunteers who work hard to keep the vibes going!

The Vernon Jazz Club audience was completely captivated on Saturday evening by the remarkable Karin Plato and her outstanding ensemble.

A masterful storyteller, vocalist, and musician, Karin—at times accompanying herself on ukulele—held us spellbound alongside Josh Roberts on guitar, Wynston Minckler on bass, and James Danderfer on clarinet and bass clarinet.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Karin and her band for sharing their extraordinary talents with us. Let’s not wait another decade before welcoming them back to our stage.
