Anh and Chi is a vibrant, cultured and hip hub to eat, drink and connect. It represents the countless brothers and sisters, across several generations, who their share talent, passion, and a vision for Vietnamese fare. Our mom grew up in my grandma’s café, which was a space for people to gather, eat and express themselves. Her café played pre-1975 Nhac Vang music – songs of peace, prosperity and f

reedom – which were then banned throughout the country. All of community came. Fast forward 40 years, our family’s recipes have reached beyond Saigon and into Seattle and Vancouver. Our vision is to continue to share Vietnamese cooking and culture with our greater community – our brothers and sisters. Our uncle once said, “No matter where we are in Vietnam, we are all from the same mother.” It’s never been truer, regardless of where we are in the world. We have certainly have felt this way growing up in BC. It’s our turn to share with you the rich history and promising future of Vietnamese hospitality, food and culture.

Mango! Mango! 🥭 suntory toki, mango, black peppercorn, co2 ☀️ this lil fella is our Toki highball. Japanese whisky loaded up with heaps of mango and carbonated in house. A nice & crispy sip. You can often find our bartender Alex crushing this on the patio and washing it down with a tofu fresh roll. He’s vegan now and that’s ok.👌

Akira Nakai, known as Nakai-san, is a legendary Japanese tuner and founder of RAUH-Welt Begriff (RWB), specializing in heavily modified, wide-body air-cooled Porsche 911s. Combining Japanese styling with German engineering, he travels globally to hand-build each unique car, featuring signature broad fenders, deep-dish wheels, and a, “rough” yet functional aesthetic.

The showroom will be open 1-8pm Sunday May 31 to welcome you for bites and 🏎️ building with Nakai-san 🔥 Our siblings at .ca will join as well (while supplies last 🤤🤤).

Chef Ly Nguyen, also known as Mom, came to Canada in 1980 with nothing but a loving husband, new born baby and memories of cooking with her mom. Thankfully with the support from Canadian ‘Anh’ and ‘Chi’ (brothers and sisters) including settlement workers, small business owners, and fellow refugees, who helped navigate her young family with food, clothing, shelter and employment, eventually, they started a family business serving authentic Vietnamese food.

Who knew she would be the one of the very first Vietnamese Canadian woman to earn a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and grew her family to over 100 young and inspiring leaders in the hospitality industry.

“She’s taught us about family, resilience, and the power of discipline and hard work — through being the first one at the restaurant, and the last one to eat (and sleep) after her kids and grandkids.

This Mother’s Day, we wish all of the mother-figures a day of reflection, celebrating all of your sacrifices and achievements as Mom, and much magical moments with your loved ones. May we all keep dreaming and making this life as positive and delicious for everyone!

ANH AND CHI x CHEF KEITH PEARS Culinary Athlete for Team Canada 2026-2027.

Ask us ten years ago and we’d never had imagined how much impact a refugee family and an independent, family-owned business can have on community.

The first ten we built our core, Anh and Chi’s pulse and team culture. Every teammate that has come through the door, leaves a significant imprint on us and our guests, thank YOU.

Today, we were awarded BEST MOUNT PLEASANT RESTAURANT in Vancouver, BC, and it’s not only because of the hum that fills the room by guests and staff, but also the fresh, delicious and comforting food and cocktails we share. And we cannot do this without our team and contributing to the pool of industry gems.

So for our 10th Anniversary celebration, we collaborated with Chef of and his mom of to host a fundraising gala dinner, and together with donations from food and wine sponsors, chefs, small businesses around the city, and generous friends and loyal guests — we raised and donated $50,127 for TEAM CANADA to compete in the Culinary World Championships in Lyon, France 2027.

For our next ten, we dream of building a community that spans across Canada and the world ❤️

We started this journey of reimagining Vietnamese cuisine ten years ago, and what started out as a place to gather amazing folks over delicious Vietnamese cuisine and tasteful cocktails has turned into something BIGGER.

We built a team culture that is undeniably adored, a menu that is fresh and consistent, and a vibe that brings people through our doors and about the neighbourhood.

We have our TEAM to thank - the relentless work of our kitchen crew, the fun and creative work of our bar team, and the smiles and energy of our youthful front of house team - you did again!!!

Thank you for voting for us in 37th Annual Restaurant Awards People’s Choice for BEST MOUNT PLEASANT Neighbourhood Restaurant!!!! Your vote matters, we won!!
