It's with a heavy heart and many tears that the future of pinball at Pub 340 is gone for now. This does not mean it’s gone forever. The liquor lease is up for sale. If and when a new owner buys the bar let’s all hope the pinball room will be back! We just have to wait and see for now.
I want to say thanks to many people involved with the pinball room over the years. We made alot of good friends, and the community grew in such a fun and happy atmosphere. I'm sure I'm going to forget some people, but I'll do my best to think of them all. Firstly, Sharon, the past manager of Pub 340. She was willing to try putting pinball at the pub. 2 machines in the front. Surprisingly they got played so it was agreed to gain approval to the city to put a whole bunch more in. As I had little funds to do so, we paid one of the bar regulars to draw engineering plans on paper, and submit it. Somehow we got approval, and those drawings are still up on the wall today.
Drew, and all the other staff were so welcoming to the players and made us all feel safe and comfortable. Owner Avtar was great on letting me run the room and we had a great working relationship together.
Christopher Guest, thanks man. Chris was great on letting me know of problems throughout the years with the machines so I could keep them up and running as best as possible, Chris was also involved in running the Sunday tournaments. Joseph Santbergen always there to lend a hand moving the games and helping me, and the bar in any way we could. Matt, thank you for running the Sunday outlanes for so many years, you are a great director and are super chill. Rob Moller Eden Stamm Jordan Hudson, Chad B Cjb Pinball Four other major supporters of pinball in our community who have ran tournaments over the years for everyone. Daryl, pub 340's longest pinball customer is one of the reasons pinball was a success. Dale Garbutt thank you for lending me machines to put in the pub over the years and Tommy Floyd who always took care of me for new pinballs.
Lastly, thank you ALL for supporting pinball at Pub 340. Thanks for helping create something that was a dream of mine. I do hope that in some way, and in some capacity that I will see you back in that room at 340 or elsewhere. I have posted some photos, some back from 2012. Feel free to add further pictures to this post.
Hope to see you all soon. 🙂
