Shows happen all week long, with classes & workshops on weekends. Our venue is located on beautiful Granville Island in Vancouver, BC. It was founded to promote, develop, maintain and present improvisational theatre productions and presentations to local and visiting audiences in Vancouver. The Improv Centre office and 186 seat theatre are located on Vancouver’s Granville Island. Each year, over 60,000 audience members, artists and students enjoy our theatre’s productions.

Celebrating Pride is more than just a series of parties and events, but a reaffirmation that we can be our authentic selves and foster a safe community with our families - chosen or otherwise. The Improv Centre is Proud to be part of this world through many of our performers and staff, and we wish everyone a beautiful Pride season this year!”⁠

Coming up next Thursday: Fistful of Kicks takes the stage for an evening of Hong Kong gangster film-inspired improv!⁠

This all-Asian improv troupe has been creating comedy magic all around Vancouver and the world since 2017. They’ve performed at festivals all over North America, including Calgary, Seattle, Portland, and Austin, the Vancouver Improv Festival, and are a mainstay at Just for Laughs: Vancouver in addition to producing sketch comedy for CBC. You might even see some familiar faces from TIC’s shows!⁠

Ever wonder what it's like making things up onstage? Improv 101 is the perfect jumping off point! You'll go from practicing simple warm up exercises to performing in short scenes over the course of one fun-filled weekend. AND, you'll get to play alongside your friendly fellow students! Some may say the real improv is the friends we made along the way...⁠
