OHEMGEE!! These are the teams who will be visiting UBC, in VANCOUVER?! And PERFORMING in our annual IMPULSE FESTIVAL?! This is so exciting I might have to go pop some biodegradable bubble wrap to calm down.

anywho… here’s what they have to say for themselves:

Absolute Improv (UO):
We are Absolute Improv from University of Oregon in Eugene! We’re super excited to kick some serious improv butt in Vancouver with our friends from the Pacific Northwest and beyond ;)

The Collective:
Hi!! We are The Collective! an comedy improv troupe from the University of Washington. We are super excited about impulse and coincidently ;) our yearly excursion to Canada! We look forward seeing awesome improv, a trip to Granville island, and hanging with/meeting epic people. We don’t look forward to the lack of ranch at Wendy’s or the border lines, but its all worth it! Can’t wait to be there and we hope to make you laugh!

Usask Improv:
We are Sam, Tapanga and Ethan from USask Improv! We are so excited for both a great weekend of performances and to escape for a short time the flat purgatory that is
Saskatchewan.

UofC Improv:
Dylan Mansfield! Rhiannon Evans! Annie Bancroft! And more (I think)! We are excited to see a city we love, friends we love, and perform an art form we hold so dearly to our hearts.

DPS (WWU):
The Dead Parrots Society is the improv team for Western Washington University. We were created by frat bros in 1997. WWU does not allow frats, so, improv was the closest they could get. When our mascot Squawky finally stood up to hazing, we broke from our frat ties and became who we are today. Majority women and majority q***r.

We have been apart for far too long—though mere days may have passed, in the realm of the improviser, it has felt an entire season adrift.

Alas, I bring most delightful news! The esteemed Improvisers’ Ton shall soon gather, not for a ball, but for a grand Improv Festival—a spectacle far more exhilarating than any waltz or soirée.

In this enchanting affair, you need not trouble yourself with eligible bachelors or eager mamas; instead, prepare to be dazzled by the wit, charm, and spontaneous brilliance of performers upon the stage.

All performances shall take place within the illustrious halls of Neville SCARF 100, where laughter and wit will reign supreme.

Prepare, dear reader, for appearances by visiting improv troupes from other universities, each ready to charm and delight with their spontaneous brilliance.

Entry shall be granted on a pay‑what‑you‑can basis, for art—indeed—should be shared by all.
