Jane and Chris Elgee re-located to Truro from Britain in 2010 with their two children. They had a catering business back in Lancashire, but this is their first venture on this side of the pond. Come and meet the Elgee family and share their appreciation of what good food tastes like. Great British Grub, specializing in British regional pies and pastries, both savoury and sweet. Traditional recipes

recreating favourites like Cornish pasties, Melton Mowbray style pork pies, steak and ale pies, sausage rolls, steak and kidney pies, Lancashire Hotpot, Irish stew, Eccles Cakes and Bakewell Tart just to name a few.

You are in for a treat today! As its Summer? we have our Fri/Sat/Sun special on, (while stocks last) of scotch egg or a slice of pork pie and salad only $12.
Ive also made seafood chowder and tomato basil soup.
There has got to be something there to tickle your tastebuds!

Curried parsnip is todays soup. Chicken balti is our curry, we have a delicious array of sweet treats, and of course our freshly prepared sandwiches, salads and all day breakfast, a good selection of freshly baked meat pies and of course sausage rolls.
There is always something for everyone down at The Grub!

Quiche has just come out of the oven, Cornish pasties will be out soon. Soup is oxtail and we have veg chili to warm your cockles!
Pork vindaloo is our curry, and if you're looking for something sweet, we have banoffee pies right now and bread & buter pudding.
