High Society Cabaret was an independent Toronto-based dance and burlesque theatre company founded by Artistic Director Anna Jaeger in 2012, and operated with Artistic Director Knox Harter. It was inspired by classic vintage aesthetics ranging from the baroque period to 1980s, combining elements of the burlesque tease with cabaret style dance. Our Story

High Society Cabaret is an independent Toronto-based dance, theatre and burlesque company founded by Anna Jaeger and operated Kate Knox. It is inspired by classic vintage aesthetics ranging from the baroque period to the swinging sixties, combining elements of the burlesque tease with cabaret style dance. Our dancers and performers delight audiences with their captivating top-tier talent, humour and charm. A little nostalgia with a hint of now, High Society Cabaret will transport you to many a by-gone era.​ For more information or to inquire about booking, visit highsocietycabaret.com High Society Cabaret was founded by co-artistic director Anna Jaeger in July of 2012 at Jezebel (now known as Ballet on Ossington in Toronto). Jaeger’s goal was to create a cabaret company that would perform regularly in venues and for clients in the decadence of vintage aesthetics. In High Society Cabaret’s second season, Kate Knox, who had been dancing with the company since it’s creation, became artistic director and resident choreographer. With Knox on board, High Society Cabaret deviated from a variety show cabaret format to incorporate story arcs and specific themes into their one hour productions housed at Parlour on at Adelaide and John. With shows becoming too big for the home venue, High Society Cabaret began working with Revival Nightclub in the the heart of Little Italy, performing their first scripted full length production in November 2016. The only vintage cabaret of its kind in Toronto, High Society Cabaret aims to provide top tier entertainment, boasting highly trained and professional dancers and established performers from Toronto’s sizzling dance, burlesque and theatre communities. High Society Cabaret performances are designed to stimulate the senses from every angle. The dancers move through the crowd, selecting guests to participate in the action on stage, creating an interactive and immersive atmosphere. Our hig energy, inspiring performances aim for the authenticy of any era, modernized for a current audience. Now in its 7th season, High Society Cabaret is becoming one of the household names of cabaret entertainment in the city.
