In the Fall of 2018, our dynamic team of female associates in the Ticketing Department of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, came together with a purpose. All on various teams and in different positions throughout the department, we had one common goal in mind. To make an impact. A force, driven by a group of women empowering other women, for the love of the game.

We wanted to see the results of the impact our events and workshops could make. We wanted to connect women in in the industry, and also those who are prospecting a role change, or curious to learn from others. We wanted to create new fans and connect them to our world - Sports. Music. Live Events. Personal Development. Networking. Community. And. Fun.

So then we started with the Toronto Argonauts, our first event: Her Huddle. We had over 130 women come down to BMO Field early to enjoy wine, raffle draws, and a speaker panel full of leading ladies in the sports and entertainment industry. Each guest got a special pink Argos “A” toque and a ticket to the Argos game afterwards. Feedback on social media was empowering after we pulled this off, so it seemed natural to test it out with our other brands next -- the Toronto Raptors & the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Early in 2019, these next two panel events we’re a huge success too. We gave out more exclusive gifts, heard from inspiring women in the industry, connected to a wealth of new fans and prospective candidates for the business - and as always, we had way too much fun doing it.
