Since opening in 1989, Woody’s and its brother bar Sailor (located next door) have become Toronto’s busiest and hottest q***r bars. A large and cavernous complex with five bars, Woody’s features nightly D.J.’s, and Top Shelf Drag Shows 6 nights a week. Woody’s front windows open up on Church Street providing a great view on Canada’s busiest and friendliest gay village. Along with sponsoring baseball teams, hockey, bowling, tennis, soccer, football and rugby, Woody’s is a founding and continuing sponsor of Buddies in bad Times Theatre, North America’s largest gay theatre. Woody’s is also proud to have received numerous Best Of awards from Now, Xtra!, fab and Eye magazines as well as many community recognition awards. Toronto Life Magazine stated that “All paths lead to Woody’s, the spiritual hub of the bar scene, and in many ways the gay community.”

A popular tourist destination since its inception, Woody’s is close to everything in the Gay Village. Americans and tourists from all around the world love the Entertainers and Staff, that are a mainstay of Woody’s.

And yes, bring your friends. Bring your neighbours. Bring that person who keeps complaining about City Hall. Geri may have some thoughts. 😂
