The Granite Brewery was first established in Halifax in 1985, making it one of Canada's oldest microbreweries. We’re down to our last batch of Mount Pleasant Pale Ale! 🍺

Make the most of these last few weekends of sunshine with our juicy pale ale while it’s still here. ☀️

Mildly hazy and golden, Mount Pleasant opens with aromas of grapefruit zest and stone fruit, followed by citrus and tropical flavours balanced with resinous pine. It all comes together with a smooth bitter finish.

Back in the ‘90s, the Granite was founded when you could count Canada’s craft breweries on one hand. Brewing open-fermented English ales in a landscape dominated by Molson and Labatt was a little bit mad. Deciding to serve an English IPA exclusively on cask when Alexander Keith’s was considered the benchmark for “IPA”? Downright ludicrous.

But we did it anyway.

Thirty-five years later, in a world overflowing with hazies, westies, and every style imaginable, we’re revisiting our flagship English IPA. We’ve given it a few thoughtful tweaks and a new name inspired by a phrase that’s echoed through the brewery tens of thousands of times over the years—and especially over the last year and a half.

Fingers Crossed is our 35th Anniversary beer. It celebrates our commitment to staying true to who we are while continuing to adapt, evolve, and survive in an ever-changing industry.

Here’s to 35 years—and, well... fingers crossed there’s many many more to come🍻

To celebrate our 35th Anniversary, we wanted to create merchandise that pays tribute to Granite’s history in a modern way. This merch is inspired by our original logo and brings us back to our roots in 1991!

It’s been almost a year since we first debuted Keep on Buzzin and we’re honoured to bring it back once again.

This beer marks a long journey as we support a cause that is very close to our hearts. Thanks to the continued support of our amazing community, we’re proud to help make a difference.
