"Something extraordinary is happening in the Living Room of the Tranzac Club.

On September 10, Oracle Productions launches Parlour Magic at Tranzac — a new monthly magic series featuring Canada's finest close-up magicians performing in one of Toronto's most intimate rooms. No stage. No distance. No explanation.

The Opening Night lineup:

Nick Wallace — Headliner
Canadian Champion of Magic. Seen on America's Got Talent and Penn & Teller: Fool Us. In a room this size, what he does is genuinely astonishing.

Jeff Hinchliffe — Feature Performer
One of Canada's most respected close-up magicians. Lecturer at the Browser's Den of Magic. His sleight of hand is seamless and thoroughly inexplicable.

Rob Fishbaum — Opener
Thirty years of comedy magic. Second City Toronto. Known as Fish the Magish — warm, hilarious, and astonishing in equal measure.

Ian Crawford — Host & MC
Mentalist, keynote speaker, and founder of Oracle Productions.

Part of a six-show season running September 2026 – February 2027. Season Passes available."

The idea behind Septet IV/IX was originally conceived by Ehsan Sadigh for a chamber ensemble and was planned to be performed in Tehran, with a flexible lineup of 7 to 12 musicians. Although geopolitical conflicts have temporarily put those plans on hold, the project has now taken shape in Toronto as a dynamic four-stage series, in which both the composition and the number of performers change and develop from one stage to the next, moving through duo, trio, and quartet configurations.

Featuring musicians from Toronto and Montreal, this initiative is a core part of Ehsan Sadigh’s Rondo Projects. The Toronto series began in a trio format, and this final performance features Bea Labikova, Dhaivat Jani, and Chris Pruden alongside Ehsan Sadigh.

Septet IV/IX is planned to be performed in Tehran in late 2026 or early 2027, in the Rondo Projects format, featuring leading local musicians.

"A brand new ensemble, Village, will be performing original music inspired by and composed by our dear friend who has sadly left this earthly plane. His love, kindness and furious creative spirit have left a deep imprint on us all. We will be performing new arrangements of his music along with original compositions and some Thelonious Monk of course /\

Sunday, September 6 @ 10pm /\

The ensemble will be and is /\

Michael Davidson /\ Vibraphone
Joel Bracken /\ Tenor Saxophone .mancuso
Aline Homzy /\ Violin
Jen Lo /\ Piano .lo
Hiro Tanaka /\ Double Bass .tanaka
Mateo Mancuso /\ Drums .mancuso

Vibraphonist, Michael Davidson presents intergenerational ensembles ranging from solo to non solo, performing music by & adjacent to Thelonious Monk alongside inspired original compositions. There is a focus on spontaneity, the blurring of composed and improvised elements as rigorous structures are built while being simultaneously knocked into oblivion.

"Red Montrose Presents David Essig, one of the country’s best folk musicians. With an authentic voice that bridges the blues and country music traditions, David performs his original guitar-driven songs with the narrative precision of a fiction author - - which, in fact, he is. Don’t miss it!
