"EADG
Drawing on the roots of original folk repertoire, EADG explores the space between tune and abstraction. We treat straight‑ahead folk melodies as catalysts for free improvisation — sometimes tender, sometimes unruly, always curious and creative — moving fluidly through the shared languages of folk music and jazz.
Esra Gurcay – Vocals & Spoken Word
Aidan Miller – Drums & Trinkets
Dylan Pilchar – Trumpet & Pedals
Georgia Korba – Double Bass & Compositions

"WEDNESDAY MAY 27: Please join our second iteration of Tail, a double bill between 𝐾𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑜𝑘𝑒 ‘33 and 𝐸𝑛𝑘𝑦! This edition positions listening as submission, of witnessing and learning.

𝐾𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑜𝑘𝑒 ‘33 is an invitation to a celebration of life. Ted Ezrn’s 33rd birthday. It’s not a random number. It’s the master number. It’s the crucifixion. It’s the Reichstag fire decree. It signals major changes. He will sing, dance, and reveal his darkest secrets.

𝐸𝑛𝑘𝑦 is an invitation to become a well weaned subject. Can the question of how to listen be the question of whether music can be taught? It’s a self fulfilling prophecy of being new without becoming someone different.

Tail is a residency that centres different registers and positionalities of listening through collaboration between people with listening practices. Thank you to Kiah for agreeing to this collaboration!

Thank you to and for adapting their show to the . This season’s run of 𝐾𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑜𝑘𝑒 ‘33 is sold out on the other days, so make sure to attend the 𝐾𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑜𝑘𝑒 ‘33 at Tail!"
