History

Prior to 1979, El Rancho (formerly El Borinquen) was operating on the 2nd floor of Sneaky Dee’s in the south east corner of College and Bathurst, just across the street of El Rancho today. in 1979, Ramon Calero, a businessman, saw the potential when the owner of a restaurant at 430 College Street decided to sell the business…and the rest is history. Until then, it was the destination of

choice to experience for anything Spanish & Latin American Cuisine and dancing. Presently, still going strong, many of the regulars, loyal supporters and patrons are still with us today…many met their life’s partner at El Rancho and the place to be for tourists, celebrities and famous public personalities visiting Toronto, which you can view their photos at the front entrance lobby and a top header slider photo is showcased in this website.
