A big thank you to for inviting us to take part in 2018’s festival and providing us a booth with our very own corridor and private courtyard, complete with a charcoal grill.

We grilled up delicious cuts of Brazilian Picanha and served it with crispy polenta topped with house made chimichurri. We want to thank all of our loyal guests who stopped by to say hi, as well as all the new friends we made throughout the evening.

We are very grateful for all the interest and support received, as we had a continuous line up of hungry guests from start to finish! We look forward to serving you all very soon at our flagship location located at 132 John St.

Zebu Steak + Bar is looking for a Bar & Patio Managing Partner to join our exceptional team of passionate managing owners.

Opening late Spring 2018 in the heart of the Entertainment District, within steps of the TIFF Bell Lightbox & Scotiabank Theatre there is no doubt that Zebu will be a hub for many notable Toronto events and VIP guests.

The venue itself will feature a rich design boasting a stunning patio, Toronto's first true wine lounge, an indoor/outdoor bar, refined dining plus a one of a kind Chef Table showcasing Executive Chef Lilian Cardoso's exquisite fare.

An opportunity unlike any other, this is a chance for you to be a big part of something even bigger, as you will play a pivotal role in helping to build the vibe, image & reputation of our flagship location. The John Street store will be the first of many to come as our second venue is already slated to open in Oakville with construction projected to commence in Q3-2019, with a business plan allowing for seven locations by the end of 2024.

Thanks to the team at BenAir Systems and their install of brand new Air Handler, Make Up Air and Exhaust units throughout the venue, Zebu Steak + Bar will literally be a breath of fresh air!

BenAir will also be responsible to ensure our combined HVAC systems will always provide our guests a perfect ambient setting regardless of how lovely our Toronto weather maybe outside, as inside Zebu guests will always be dining comfortably regardless of whether it is a steamy 35C summer day or a frigid -35C winter night!

The crew from Stefmarc Plumbing is making sure fresh water is flowing efficiently into our state of the art kitchen, where we plan to sear to perfection our prime cuts of steak once we open.

It might not be a glamourous job, however it is beyond necessary. We are grateful for the skillful craftsmanship behind all the work that has been accomplished thus far, while more pipes still need to be laid, once complete Zebu Steak + Bar will have a completely brand new mechanical installation.

Before there can be any glitz and glam, the foundation must be laid. For the build out of our new restaurant, the walls installed by RE Construction will be the foundation of our venue, from which we will create a space that will truly be one of a kind.

Soon stunning details, natural stone tiles, impressive lighting, plenty of mirrors and some other decorative surprises will adorn what is now just metal studs … stay tuned!

The ambience at Zebu Steak + Bar will be set by truly spectacular light fixtures throughout the space, which together will create an exciting vibe and inevitably, many unforgettable experiences. None of which would be possible without the team at AmpPower Ltd for their organized and precise electrical installation of thousands of linear feet of new wiring.

We have officially ended the demolition phase and have transitioned right into building up the interior walls of Zebu Steak + Bar’s flagship location! With the old wise saying in mind, “measure twice and cut once", the first track of our interior framing has been laid … we are all beyond excited!

We have been busy over the past couple of months working behind the scenes BUT we are very proud to announce that the creation of Zebu Steak + Bar is well underway!

We are in full-on construction mode with the oversight of our CoProject Management Team of Restaurateur101 and E11even Construction. They have had a series of trades and consultants walk through the site to finalize all plans, and now it is time to start building what surely will be one of Toronto’s top restaurant spaces!

Stay tuned, as throughout the construction process we will post updates so that you can see what’s going inside, right up until our grand opening!
