Rangla rewinding to the 80’s

Yesterday was one of those nights we’ll remember for a long time. Our teams and students had the incredible opportunity to perform alongside Ammy Virk at his concert in front of a massive crowd, on a stage they’ll never forget.

This is what Rangla Punjab Arts Academy is all about. It’s about more than just coming into the studio, learning choreography and practicing week after week. It’s about giving our students opportunities to step outside those four walls, experience real stages, perform in front of big crowds and create memories that they’ll carry with them for years to come.

We’re so proud of the hard work these kids put in every single week, and to be able to reward that hard work with opportunities like this makes everything worth it. Watching them experience these moments, build confidence and share the stage with some of the biggest names in Punjabi music is something we’ll never take for granted.

A huge thank you to Ammy virk and his entire team for being so humble, welcoming and giving our students this incredible opportunity.

What are the chances? A brother and sister, competing in a dance competition, and BOTH being crowned Best Dancer in their respective categories on the SAME NIGHT! 🏆🏆🧡🧡

Harkeet and Jagra have been part of our Rangla Punjab Arts Academy family for over 8 years. We’ve had the privilege of watching them grow, not just as dancers, but as incredible individuals who continue to make us proud.

Harkeet has been a leader and the voice of our team Sherniyaan for years. From being one of our students to becoming an instructor at the academy, she continues to share her passion, talent, and knowledge with the next generation. This award is so incredibly well deserved.

Watching Jagraj earn this recognition alongside his sister makes the moment that much more special. His hard work, dedication, and growth have not gone unnoticed.

Seeing both siblings take home Best Dancer awards in their respective categories on the same night is such a proud moment for all of us.

Congratulations Harkeet and Jagraj, and a huge congratulations to the entire Khangura family!

A well deserved honour for a true legend!

Last weekend, our very own Bittu Ustaad Ji was presented with a truly special honour , the “Pride of Punjab” award.

This recognition is not simply an award, but it is a celebration of a lifetime of dedication, passion, preservation, and contribution to Punjabi culture, Dhol, Bhangra, and the folk traditions of Punjab.

For generations, the Dhol has been the heartbeat of Punjab. It carries our history, our celebrations, our pride, and the spirit of our people. And artists like Bittu Ustaad Ji have dedicated their lives to keeping that heartbeat alive.
With every beat of his Dhol, he has preserved a tradition, inspired dancers, mentored generations, elevated the art of Dhol, and carried the soul of Punjab wherever he has performed.

His contribution to Punjabi folk dances is something that cannot be measured simply by trophies, performances, or accolades. It can be seen in the countless dancers who have found their rhythm through his beats, the young artists he has inspired, and the generations who continue to feel connected to their roots because of artists like him.
This man who has spent years giving his heart and soul to the art he loves.

And for all of us at Rangla Punjab Arts Academy, we feel incredibly blessed that our paths crossed and that Bittu Ustaad ji chose to join us last year. What a privilege it has been to have someone of his calibre, experience, passion, and character become such an important part of our family.

Sometimes, the right people find their way to the right home at exactly the right time, and we truly believe that is what happened here. We are beyond grateful to have him with us, sharing his knowledge, shaping our dancers, strengthening our Dhol, and helping our academy grow while staying deeply connected to the roots and traditions that make Punjabi culture so special.

From where he came from to where he is today, one thing is undeniable: greatness belongs where it is valued, respected, nurtured, and celebrated. And we are so proud that he has found that space with us.
