Well it's strange not to have posted the daily special nor checked in on the cameras to see how it's been going.
Yesterday my husband Rick and I handed over the keys after having cleaned up and cleaned out my personal belongings. No tears yet, just gratitude for all the lovely people and experiences over these last 5+ years.
Thank you to all the customers, it has been a privilege to serve you! So many faces of our regulars are coming to mind. ❤ to all of you.
When thinking of customers, A special thank you to my fellow business owners and their staff for supporting us.
And of course, thank you, to those who allowed us to host their special events.
A really big thank you to over 160 performing artists who came out and played, sang or spoke here at Cafe 23. It was most graciously of you to support us and each other.
Thank you to all my staff over the years with special thanks to Ann, Elle, Payton & Sherry who literally stayed on to the very end. Shout out to Ryker & Rick for stepping in and up when I've needed you, you guys are indeed appreciated.
Thank you to my husband Rick, Children Jeffery & Victoria, their spouses Lindsay & Mike and my grandchildren Corbin, Mason, Sabastien, Duncan, Jaxxon and their families for your love and support with this labour of love.
Ok, maybe a small amount of tears now.
I probably have missed a boat load of people to thank and I appologise deeply.
Please come and see Elle and Payton in 23 West Front St.'s next incarnation as they will be back. And I will be round to see who I can from time to time as Stirling has been great!
