Both located in Nixon's former elementary school in Norfolk County. The cosy dining room used to be a classroom. The New Limburg Brewery started out simply as a hobby. The brewers were inspired and decided their beer was too good to keep to themselves. In 2013 the brewery was officially incorporated, the first step of many to get to the point it's at now. In case you were wondering why we leave all the milkweed every year; this is why. To help preserve the monarch 🦋. We also don't mind the mess that the mulberry tree at the front produces after the birds have been feasting on the berries. The rain will clean it up. The hop trees at the back attract the giant swallow tail 🦋. It would be nice though if the squirrels and chipmunks leave some hazelnuts for us on the trees at the back patio too.

As our patios get greener, they become the intimate quiet places to enjoy, especially at the back is an oasis where you might not expect it. No crowds, limited seating, just nature sounds and a relaxed experience. Good food, good beer, no pretentions, no wifi. Let time stand still for a visit in Nixon.

Our bottleshop is open Tuesday through Sunday from 12 - 8 pm, even with the restaurant opening at 5 during the week and 1 on Saturday and Sunday. (Reservations at other times - if made at least 24 hours in advance - are also welcome).

Good morning! Just a little reminder that as of February our DAYTIME hours during the week are now depending on reservations made at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise we open at 5 for dining (kitchen closes at 7 with no bookings). We will stay open after 8 for diners with reservations ensuring a relaxed dinner time. To make it sound less complicated we recommend reserving a table by calling 519 707 4141.
