Forged from quality ingredients, community spirit, and a drive for excellence, Emeraldus Goldfoot is not your average scarecrow. With golden shorts stitched from sunshine and green gloves powered by hospitality, Emeraldus proudly stands at the gates of The Emerald Light after rising from the ground up to champion food made with care, and hospitality that makes you feel like you belong.
He carries a staff crowned with the Flame of Flavour, symbolizing our commitment to bold, elevated comfort food and unapologetic local pride. His apron? Retired after years of plating perfection, cracking jokes, and making guests feel like family. His hat? Earned from the Culinary Council of Scarecrow Education(the CCSE), embroidered with our signature emblem.

Together, our local potters, restaurants and this incredible community raised $9,200 for the Shelburne Loyalist Food Bank through this year’s Empty Bowls fundraiser!

Bella went down to Guild Hall today to represent us at this year’s Empty Bowls event with a giant pot of “Italian Penicillin” and had an absolute blast.👩‍🍳 Thank you to Tim Kiley and our local potters for their efforts in putting together this charitable event and shoutout to all the participating restaurants for adding their unique touch. A great day had by all! 🥣 🙌
