The Canadian Bar Association – Saskatchewan Branch is a professional, voluntary organization led by legal professionals across the Province. The Branch was formed in 1914 and operated solely with volunteers until a Branch Office was opened in 1985. The Association represents some 37,000 lawyers, judges, notaries, law teachers, and law students, with over 1,100 members being from the Saskatchewan Branch.

🧡 June marks National Indigenous History Month, a time to recognize the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.

This month, the CBA is relaunching its Truth and Reconciliation Toolkit for Law Firms as the newly refreshed and expanded Truth and Reconciliation Legal Companion Guide. The guide introduces new content, including a section on the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) as well as practical ways to incorporate these principles into your practice.

A live webinar in English will take place on June 24 to mark the launch.
